DoogyRev
Just spend the last hour planning the intricate elements of the build over the next 2 months. Silly things like oil, rad, fabrication mounts, diff, wheels and some fu@k off great big turbo's all make up the remaining bits. I have fixed that for you Ian

Wasso
I bet she hasn't saved you any though That's for sure and I wouldn't want any considering she's in Brum and I'm on Dorset, it would be cold by the time it gets here.

Keyser
Another fun day in the Zed Shed today, well it was for me I got to angle grind and weld on Wasso's car - he took it really well to be fair, even when the sparks were flying No video today as it was all in the car or on the workbench. First job was to get the gearstick in position and working - Ian came out very lucky here considering we are not using the T56 box and Sikky don't do a convertor for ours we knew we had to do some fabrication - as it happens the rear gearbox mount was a reasonably straight forwards mod and the box and arm are almost exactly in the right place Now the box is mounted we needed to get the gearstick to hold correctly in the right place - fabrication time seems like I forgot to take any more pic's of the last bits of fabrication So moving swiftly on - The 350z gearstick next to the LS gearstick angle grinder to the rescue weld the bits together we have a LiSMO gearstick All in place - The only problem is when you put her in gear As you can see the stick is to far forwards - O well We will simply take it out and bend a dogleg into it to get it more upright, but that's for another day as Wasso had to get home and I need to get in from the cold and have some grub. More soon .............................

Keyser
While waiting for our Zorst specialist to reappear on the scene I got bored So......... You may remember that the gearstick which is now half 350z and half Corvette has an issue - when you put it in gear you smash the ipad So I took some very technical measurements and made an intricate template cut the gearstick up and welded a collar round it cut it - beat it with a hammer and welded at the new angle Fits like a glove well it's better anyway and it seems all gears are available without beating the air con controls (I Hope) That's all for now
GMballistic
Pretty cool & I bet the extra weight may even help with better gear shifts.
Keyser
Pretty cool & I bet the extra weight may even help with better gear shifts. Extra weight you should try the corvette standard one it's basically a 2 foot scaffold tube with a bit of leather on one end - we did try it but it was interfering with the sun glass holder

Wasso
That looks a load better Chris. Saves as you say smashing the screen with the LARGE knob
Darren-B
Now that is some serious girth. Can I ask why you didn't just cut & weld a small plate or angle in at the bottom?

andlid
Cool work! Sending my car over for ls3 swap asap... Missing the FI part when is that happening? That gear shift work is awesome , what way does wasso shift though , depending on his hands on the shifter he might hit the knuckles on the knobs? might have to adapt Love the updates, perfect for snowy Sweden.
