The day you picked up your zed....

Do you find the 1st CD you loaded in your zed on collection day now triggers a surge of "happy hormones" as it brings back memories of that glorious occasion

 

On one fine day in Aug '05 it was Missy Elliot: the cookbook that supplied the tunes while I spent the whole day feeding a tank of Shell's finest through my beloved Zed's internals.

 

Not my favourite album by any means but one that now has a special place in my collection

the day i picked mine up i popped Faithless into the cd changer(god is a dj) to find out the n/s speaker only worked intermitantly.

once home it was ripped it out and replaced with a sony unit.

When I bought mine, I was rocking out to Kings Of Leon's first album, the weather was relatively decent and I had a big **** off smile on my face for the entire journey. It was a good day

i dont know what i was listening to on that day, probably didn't put any music on. But not the Prodigy album Invaders Must Die makes me grin like a maniac, like today driving home from work

Mine came with 3 cds already in it from the previous owner - Life on Mars, New York Soul and Groove Armada... Not exactly an eclectic mix!

 

Besides, I too was listening to the V6 Symphony Orchestra all the way home!

Given that the Zed came out in 2003, I do still wonder why Nissan felt the need to include a tape deck?

 

Still - came in handy for my ghetto iPod/tape mod thingy...

I've listened to the same song as the first track in each of the last 4 cars I've owned: "Buck Rogers" by Feeder. It's a great song, but it's the first line that really makes it my New Car Song.

My car was delivered around 7pm to my house, it was throwing it down with rain but i still took it out. Was surprised at how well it handle in the wet compared to my previous Z4.

 

I collected the Z4 from a dealership and that was more nervous as i had a 120 mile return trip, sat on the motorway at 50mph for a while, it was my first expensive car and i was 24.

In every car I've ever bought my first track is always by Michael Jackson....I know it's a bit gay but i love a bit of MJ....I'll be putting together a new MJ compilation for my drive home when i pick up my first Zed next week

I had the ipod plugged in but i had the volume down so barely heard it and just sat listening to the exhaust note , do still love windows down cant wait till summer (that is if i keep it long enough to enjoy it that long).

I've had the car since July last year and to this day it hasn't had a CD played in it, I don't know if it skips or not and I really don't care. I just love the sound of that rich V6 purring and growling through the Milltek

Really don't have a clue what the first tune was I listened to in either of my Zed's, I was more excited to drive them than mess around with music. Although when I popped a CD in my 350 I found out one of the rear speakers didn't work and it was disappointing. However the 370 sound system was a vast improvement, probably something like 2Pac - Picture me rollin' was fitting.

I stuck Nickleback in a blade GT in the showroom at Sheffield I think it was or maybe Chesterfield ........... warmed up the speakers and turned up the volume to 11 to check out the Bose ......... never bought from there but I still like Nickleback

My CD player had a fault with it so listened to the V6 engine all the way from Lithunania where there was 2 feet of snow in January and drove back to the UK

i had a long listen to Engine well about 10-15mins lol seemed like an eternity at the time

 

then whacked the CD "In Silico" in, Track9 "Granite" by Pendulum

Great driving tune!
