  1. I have loved this car. I took it for a lap around Europe. Beautiful and faultless. But, time passes......
  2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281232237294?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 more details here :-)
  3. It's time to let her go. My 350Z is a UK model, I have had it since 2010 and from 21K miles. Currently showing 38009 miles Taxed until august next year MOT September 2014 Full leather interior and usual GT spec. The rag top is faultless. No rips tears or bagging. Nuffink. The retraction is smooth as a smooth thing. NOTE: 2006 facelift model AND registered before the tax law changed so only £270 / year!! After market Pioneer stereo with IPOD connection run to centre console. Note that this has cut off the voice of the SAT NAV. But SATNAV still functions perfectly, just doesn't nag :-) The original stereo will come with the car. All the controls on the steering wheel controls the stereo just as standard. Abbey Motorsport has done the following: High flow filter plenum spacer remap on rolling road, showing 300BHP on the ground- real ones not claimed ones! Stainless cat back system steering bushes replaced with nylon instead of rubber crap ones. Braided Brake lines Upgraded BLUE brake fluid Fixed clicky back axle Selectable throttle response vis steering wheel. Full NSH with a level 3 service done in September, again by Nissan. Falcon 452 tyres fitted with plenty left. GT alloys from new Beombo gold brakes - of course. Metallic Black. Super super shiny! There are a couple of stone chips on the front but nothing dramatic.Good old Nissan super soft paint :-) The leather seats have slight wear but again, nothing to get excited about. A blazingly good car but you already know that. Any trial welcome. I live in Bridgwater, Somerset. photo's on request. any more info needed? Just ask! I am looking for £8750 for a very quick sale :-)

    manual v auto

is it less power ? Auto always used to bugger off with loads of power. MM ropey box on the manual and now a potential steering lock problem...not ounding so good all around
  5. hey people, I am about to upgrade from a 50 to a 70. I have found a reasonable deal but want to be sure. The one I have in mind is an Auto. Is this a flappy paddle auto or a 'hands off ' type ? Is the auto any good ? What things should I go looking for / check when I see it ? IS the difference from a 06 face lift - with abbey sport sprinkles - pipe and remap - to a 370 going to make the grin wider or about the same ?? I know I want it but I am attempting to reason my way forward instead of selling everything I own and running to the toy shop :-)
  6. Groovy :-) Thanks people. I will send the pic today.
  7. Abbey counseled caution on this. If there is any roundness to the profile of the caliper then the HEL lines wont mate correctly. To get a good contact, they have to be machined square. I got them to fit mine
  8. almost had a gentleman's moment there......
  9. Check this out. I think the designer has a Z stashed away somwhere... http://www.topgear.com/uk/paris-motor-s ... 2012-09-26
  10. it was his safety blanket that saved him. He took it with him as well, what presence of mind
  11. will it fit mine ???? how much? i think i have spent enough for now though
  12. i saw your 07. snice i like the insert around the exhaust tips, back valance. is that only on the 07 onward ?
  13. black 06 rag top. the one with a shin y new exhaust :-)
  14. Wish I'd have seen this earlier, I've got to drop my car off there today. I could've picked you up somewhere and you could have dropped me at the station in your car after. That would have saved time for all, ah well.... Mark of Abbey picked me up from the station as he was such a good chap. We chatted about the figures as noted here on the forum. We agreed that yes it is not all about the paperwork but yes, you do need a yard stick to measure by. mark ran through all that was done and the staging of the throttle response. All very good indeed. i would like to reiterate that Abbey have been sterling types at every point of this activity. The quality of work and level of service is flawless. Any comments here are not aimed 'at' them or to denigrate the service given. More to reflect on an upgrade that many had done and many more would like to do, and this is my experience of doing it. So to the car and the journey home.... Apart from the sat nav having a cow and sending me way off piste it was very enjoyable indeed. The exhaust is perfect for tick over, lending a little bass and presence and singing well at full throttle. Oh how I mentally mocked the standard azure 06 that I met on the M25. It looked pretty i though The power delivery is markedly better. Smoother everywhere and more accessable power when it is asked for. Nissan take note. is it faster ? No, not really. Is it a better car for the work done ? yes. Lots? well,,,,, not earth shattering but a bloody good polish to what was there before. It is now the car it should have been. It sounds like it should do and it does feel more refined. Is it worth £2K for the performance package ? ( I spent more but not on perf bits ) Depends on what £2K means to you. Would I do it knowing the results ? I really cant say. Its better -yes. Do these things come cheap - no. So my advice is to try before you buy. Drive somone elses and contrast and compare to your own. Thats the best possible advice I can give. If you are happy and want it done, then I certainly endorse Abbey to do it for you. I will of course take it out and thrash the thing again tomorrow, so maybe that tells you all you need to know.
  15. gggaaaahhhhhhh 06.00 on a saturday........... nearly time for my train to Abbey
  16. looking forward to the 07.00 train ride back to my dear Z Anticipation is growing after assurances, Thanks chaps. I would like to point out at this point that Abbey have been super helpful and I am in no way suggesting anything else. My apprehension was the fact that the gain is so apparently low. But as everyone says, proof will be in the driving Now, do I go home via north wales.....
  17. well. just going to have to see what she's like with new lungs :-) Instead of returning home to somerset I might pop up to north wales to give her a run :-)
  18. i got thee power curves map back this afternoon. 12 bhp increase. thats not a missprint. 12. I phoned and discussed that 12 bhp for 2K was a bit low. Apparently the pipe is not a performance part, so i should take that out of the cost. Still, 12 bhp. I expected more I must say. Apprently 12 - 15 hp increase is what to expect. I am doing about 270 at the wheel now. I have been assured that it's not all about the 12 bhp rather the overall performance is miles better. Any corroborative experiences from anyone ????? Please ? Tell me I didnt waste time and money here as I am not picking it up until Saturday I am just having to wait and see.
  19. The mods done as follows: plenum spacer milltek zorst hi flow filter remap who has had this done ? what results did you get ? I have an 06 facelift. Supposedly with 300bhp. Also done: nylon suspension bushes braided brake lines clicky axle fix
  20. what a brill blast that was :-) found abbey easy enough. Although I did go to 1 woodhurst lane which is a bungalow..... had a good hot cuppa from Scott and we talked throught he works planned. All good then a lift to the train station to boot Have to wait a week now for part 2.....
  21. Well chaps, I have been threatening for ages but here I go. Up at 5 am for a little drive...to Abbey motorsport!!! new steering bushes clicky axle repair Pipe - miltek plenum spacer remap and what ever else creeps up on me. All being done to my 06 ragtop - facelift. Supposedly having 300horses already we will see what the final result is. The car is being left there for a week so the next post will be a while. Thats if I live through my encounter with British Rail for the return journey
  22. on a Euro run my rag top topped at just over 155 - indicated. The Audi V10 that was there showed a very similar figure so the Z is quite accurate. The V10 simply kept accelerating..... I am preparing -again - to get mine tweaked as I need front bushes. So while I am there I thought I would get on with it... I will let you know how it works out.
