  1. Deposit taken earlier today from an enthusiast and previous owner, so looks like it's going to a good home.
  2. No bites? I would have thought at £3,200 it would have been snapped up by someone on here...
  3. So? We're both selling cars, this most certainly isn't a case of comparing "apples and oranges". 10% vs 42% is not the same thing no matter how you try and dress it up. My car does not "need" a new engine, and 110k is not stratospheric mileage. Please don't make assumptions based on the condition of the engine that I'm desperate to sell to any old punter just to see the back of it. The price of £3.5k reflects the issue. Making sure a car has legal tyres, a tailgate which won't decapitate you and no issues with the wheel bearing is now considered a high standard? I just spent good money getting mine fully serviced, another £50 getting the interior cleaned and leather treated and will leave the next owner with a full tank of petrol. Reading that post by hughesy suggests that maybe your business could learn a thing or two from some guy selling a shabby example of a Zed.
  4. FWIW, I don't think £7200 is an offensive offer for a car advertised at £8k. Someone offered me £2k for mine which is advertised at £3.5k!
  5. A trader giving £8k for an 04 Zed with 70k miles? Who is this guy?! I'm trying to offload mine, maybe he'll give me £6k for my ticky engined 04 with 109k?
  6. Thanks for the comments, chaps. I've had a lot of interest but some people think it's a none runner (perhaps I need to be clearer in my ad?) or don't read the ad/play dumb and then try to offer £2k "cos the engines f***ed innit?" So you thought this was around £2k cheaper than the equivalent car because I'm an idiot? Truth be told, if someone from here offered me £3200 I'd let them have it, I just don't want to see it in the hands of a boy racer who couldn't normally stretch to £5k or £6k for a regular one.
  7. SOLD! Sad to see it go after 4 years but gone to a good home.
  8. Could be good, might be terrible. You can't really tell from a few pictures and a few lines of text. It only has part service history which might set alarm bells ringing, but again, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a lemon. A car could have FNSH, low warranted miles and 1 owner but then 6 months after buying it could develop a serious fault and conversely a high mileage dog might run and run and run. A mate bought an immaculate low mile 55 plate DE in 2009 for top money and had so many problems (clicking axle, overheating, oil leaks & exhaust problems to name a few). I, on the other hand, bought a slightly tired looking Zed with a ticking engine knowing full well that it might be a lemon. It has given me precisely 0 problems in 4 years except a dead battery. Anecdotal, I know, but there's definitely an element of luck attached to used car purchases. What I'm saying is just go in with your eyes open and definitely have a look at a few, I know it's easy to follow your heart and buy the first one you see, but driving and looking at a few will put you in much better stead to find one which is the one you want. If it's your dream car then get the best one you can.
  9. That car is infamous on here, avoid, avoid, avoid! Being brutally honest, as an older gentleman I think you'd look a bit odd in a car like that. Keep looking, there are lots out there.
  10. Would you consider any other colour? Gunmetal grey, perhaps?
  11. I have a spare drivers side facelift LED rear light for sale. It's fully working but has a split at the top and some small grazing at the bottom (see pic). It's actually not that noticeable, especially once it's on the car so if you're not taking your car to shows or obssessive, it could be a bargain for someone. £50 including delivery.
  12. I have an item for sale which needs no introduction, the much sought after facelift LED rear lights! These are an absolute must for pre-facelifts, look so much better than the halogen versions. Fully working, genuine lights from a UK car and in excellent condition. The drivers side light has a small chip at the bottom, but this cannot be seen unless looking closely (see picture 3 for it on the car) £200 including delivery, would rather have someone collect as these are quite bulky and fragile. First come first serve, can post same day as these are ready to go.
