Curve ball, Peugeot 306 turbo diesel. A pin number immobiliser and one of the pioneers of modern turbo diesels.

Mercedes pioneered turbo diesels with their 300SD. Not very modern though. 1978..

Every day's a school day.

Lanchester cars first used disc brakes circa 1902 but the only medium available for pads was copper based and wore quickly.

Then I think Daimler perfected them on automotive and aircraft application inter war years. Could be wrong on the second point I will have to check.

Best over engineered car from Japan that i absolutely love...... Lexus LFA. No quicker than cars an a 1/4 of the price but boy is it special. There'll never be another Japanese car quite like it.
