  1. You're all reading this the wrong way. This is no different than if you lend your car to someone else, which is effectively what happened here. Forget the fact the new owner paid for the bike, technically it was still insured under the original policy and as such that will always remain the policy in force, if there is no other one available. As such, that insurer is responsible for paying out in an accident to all third parties involved, and since the policy holder broke the terms of the policy then they are completely right to come after him for the money. Is it a harsh lesson? No doubt. Is it the right thing to do? I'm not sure. Are they justified in doing do? Absolutely. Why did he not cancel the policy? Why did he not check the other guy had insurance? Why did he not ask to see his licence? This could've been so easily avoided. One guy here was a criminal, but the other was a fool.
  2. Best way to learn car control is in the wet with all systems off Were car and driver okay?
  3. You wouldn't notice any difference, not in a single tankful. You'll notice the fewer pounds in your pocket though
  4. Steve, it was about Ekona and SMD saying they wish they had a 370ZN ... honestly You can laugh, I very well might end up with one as my next car if it's any good
  5. Cheaper. 99% of the public don't think further than today, hence buying a £25k Golf diesel rather than a £10k Zed and £15k worth of fuel
  6. The TTRS has a lot of electronics doing clever things, at least as sophisticated as the GTR. Certainly helps it punch above its weight.
  7. Having driven a single turbo Zed back to back with the 911, at fast road speeds they're definitely comparable in performance, up to a point. They're both just so different to drive though, one is a hooligan and one more precise. Both bloody great on the right roads though
  8. Why Dan? Are you a NA man at heart? Pretty much, yeah. Never used to be, but the Zed convinced me that that's the kind of engine I really enjoying working hard. Always room for a good bit of FI though, in the right application: I couldn't imagine our old Impreza as an NA!
  9. If they'd have fitted a turbo to the 350 as standard, I'd never have bought one.
  10. Try Costco, their parking spaces are huge
  11. But that implies that parents should ONLY park there, which they don't. They park everywhere, so really they're no use at all. It's a marketing thing, more than anything.
  12. Have a read of their long-termer, they grew to love it in the end.
  13. Apologies, I assumed your complete lack of acknowledgement meant that you'd given up. Good on you for carrying on, what's the goal?
  14. Yeah, I think so too. I think it's a shame that Stevo isn't up for carrying in it on given that this is the most positive thread we've seen on here for ages, but I guess it's his choice. Hopefully he won't put all the weight back on, that would be a massive shame.
  15. @SMD: Agreed. I'd like to live with one for a bit, to see if the performance can make it feel special, but I'm not willing to punt £25K to find out.
  16. I'd happily have one as a DD. For me, they look a bit too similar to a standard TT to feel really special. In terms of performance though, they'll nail pretty much anything. As the video above shows, they are GT-R quick.
  17. Hear hear, well said that man! *awaits Chesterfield to come along*

No, definitely not. Possible you slipped the clutch, over heated it and then it was okay when it cooled down?
  19. Either would've been a worthy winner. A draw, whilst a cop-out of sorts, is probably the fairest result in the end. Congrats guys, you should both be proud of your efforts.
  20. Likewise. I learnt with the Nismo pedal in my old 350 but now I use the technique in everything I drive, all the time. Second nature now.
  21. Spare wheel. It's not a full size one, hence space saver.
  22. No-one in the UK does, really. That's just how democracy works. Scotland's MPs get to vote on things that affect us in England, so it works (or fails) both ways.
  23. Only reason I ask is that, as far as I can see, if you can sort those three issues then everything else is relatively small fry. Tax increases aside, of course.
  24. So genuine question then to those voting Yes: 1. Which currency do you think you'll end up with, and why? 2. How do you think you'll be allowed into Europe? 3. What is the back up plan when the oil is gone? I know the last two read as a bit aggressive, but I really don't mean it like that Honestly, proper interested in what you think.
