  1. I got an Apple Watch for Xmas. It's alright. Battery easy does a couple of days with plenty of fiddling, using it as a phone is better than you think (but you still look a bellend), and checking messages instead of grabbing your phone out of your pocket would seem to be the key thing. Other than that though, it actually does 'being a watch' worse than a regular watch.
  2. Half the fun is being on the stand, doesn't matter if it's stock or a twin charged LS3 Rocket Bunny car. Get a stand pass
  3. Depends on the offsets, you'd need to contact them and ask them what they supply them in.
  4. Dude, chill. You're coming across as very aggressive of late, and coming from me that's saying something.
  5. The more I think about it, the more the track choice baffles me. With the money being thrown at this, you'd have thought they'd be able to use either a real track, or at the very least a well-known and well-used airfield. Sure, that might have put paid to any secrecy, but it would've given them serious credibility. To run cars on a 'track' that requires you to turn around and run it backwards is utterly bizarre.
  6. Looks a bit arse-heavy to me. Certainly not a patch on the 3 or XE.
  7. Would a lot of that not be down to road conditions? As you say, cold & wet means you'll have twice as much grip with four tyres over two. Some good driving there too, btw
  8. I'm guessing because fast road is now in the vernacular, whereas tarmac rally would still sound specialised. Why wouldn't a road car want a tarmac rally setup? To me, that would sound not a million miles away from what you'd want, hugely compliant over firm surfaces that are good to poor in quality, but with a certain amount of compromise in terms of people wanting to go faster.
  9. Why do you think I bought a snotter of a BMW
  10. I owned a 911. That was my dream car. Cost me a fortune, but I got to live my dream. Can't put a price on that, I reckon. Some people have lots of foreign holidays, which you could argue is even more of a waste of money. I prefer to waste my money on things with engines.
  11. I know I'm usually the first to tell people their cars are overpriced, but that seems reasonable. FI at a sensible power, tasteful body mods, and a respray in THE most gorgeous Lotus colour? I really don't think that's a million miles off, especially when you think what Payco was asking for his the other day.
  12. Exactly. Costs a fortune in fuel but makes an awesome noise, worth every penny.
  13. But a bike is so different from a car, which is why most people don't have one. Price is irrelevant, I know I could go faster on a bike for less, but performance isn't the be all and end all.
  14. Definitely compression fittings. Couple of sets of plumber's grips will get those bad boys off.
  15. I buy whatever car I want and f*ck the depreciation or running costs. Life is too short, and I may go out without a penny to my name but I'll still consider it money well spent
  16. Bet the Yanks love it, that's why.
  17. So you're comparing old cars with old technology against a new bike with new technology?
  18. I doubt it's that much though, given that RHD cars are pretty much only ever going to be used here, Japan or Australia. And I can't see someone in Jap or Aus buying a car there and registering it here (or vice versa). Nope, there's no two ways about it, those numbers for McLaren are miles and miles out, which means I'm not sure how far to trust the other figures.
  19. I blame the women of Hull.
