  1. Compare yours to this one: http://www.350z-uk.c...es/page__st__20 Borrowed from 350Ad when he had hsi 350 done (now 370Ad) Seems to me there are some significant differences but I'll let others with more knowledge on the settings comment further.
  2. £100 for a fixed penalty fine these days. Pete Say Whaaaat.... Bloody inflation, the speed awareness it is! Look at the positive - that's about a tank full of petrol, that you could be using and then pick up another ticket
  3. Seller is not trying to pass it off as a 313 so credit to him for that. The '06 296hp rev-up was a short run compared to the DE 276bhp and with the release just a year or so later quite few of the 06 models remained unsold even into 2008.
  4. The caravan driver should have been in the lane before the shortened white lines - the **** simply left if too late and seemed to be aiming for the larger gap in front of the Renault that was in front of the lorry, but then decided not and tried pulled into a space that wasn't there for a car+ caravan. Can't believe he would risk his life and that of the young girl as that could easily have resulted in his car and the caravan being serverely crushed. The only factor against the lorry driver was not remembering shed tuggers are a law unto themselves on the road....in my experience of them. How many times do you see them be courteous and pull over when there a traffic jam behind them.....

  6. Just found this panorama of the 2014 event - pretty cool - just scroll left and right http://www.gigapan.com/gigapans/155104
  7. Congratulations but just keep an eye on that fella that he doesn't start an affair with Bianca!
  8. OK draw a line under this off-topic stuff please. This is a member's build thread not a for you to throw your handbags around.
  9. Try dropping one more gear - but then I enjoy engine braking and with the syncro rev on the 370 it was even harder to resist . Not everyone's cup of tea but I did not find the symptons you have described with the 3 Zeds I owned.
  10. Of those two you have linked it really comes down to what feels right for you/your mum both in spec and the drive. Octavia vRS certainly has good pace though.
  11. Do a search under banana arms - here is one: http://www.350z-uk.c...ms#entry1450765 From what you describe it is more than likely the issue and one that is not obvious when doing the usual checks under the Zed.
  12. Tut tut, all 3 of your for sales in the wrong subforum - all moved
  13. Re the insurance. It covers the 'club' at venues and in no way covers the drives. The cover is limited to 50 cars. Due to the popularity of the event in recent years it has been over-subscribed and the team took the decision that only members with 350/370 ZEDs would be allowed. But if the maximum were not reached then other ZEDs (up to the max 50 cars total) would be allowed. There has been an occasion when the drive from Chester was compromised by boy racers darting in and out of the official entries, no doubt having acquired the routes posted on the public forum. That is no longer the case and the routes are conveyed by pm to stop that activity that did us no favours at all. Now whether the numbers are such that consideration is given to other members without ZEDs taking part is a matter for Mudman. From my experience the drives are better managed by the lead cars when broken down into groups of 10 or twelve as anything above that number becomes more difficult to spot who is at the rear and that is bearng in mind ZEDs are quite distinctive. Add with other marques/models and it becomes less manageable. Obviously we can't stop cars joining but if they act like tits and are members then yes expect forum membership to be terminated. But as I said, the the Club's insurance does not cover activity on the public highway. Hope that helps.
  14. Just get a joint account and agree with Mr Twobears that he does not use his card and as long as you (er, the other half) have funds to make the monthly payment and jobs a goodun. We have a joint M & S credit cards - some good benefits particularly with their worldwide travel insurance and the perks they send through.
  15. Where has GUNs gone Well and truly your car now Nino.
  16. Coming from a work environment where IE was the only option, stuck with it on here for while until I was shown the light to use Google Chrome and all good since then, but...... Not sure if others have picked up Google Chrome falling out of bed with Silverlight which means watching Sky (F1 basically for me) through the net is going tits up and already has buffering issues, even with fibre optic. So watched the China race through IE last weekend and all was fine, so on that basis it has some merits
  17. There really are some cretins around and feel for you Bradders, Visit Ricey or contact him for the Wales meet as he can get a Mobil dent man out Great idea seeing you are going to Wales - if is the same guy we had at the Wales meets a few years ago it was amazing what he did and for little money
  18. Because it was probably a 370z? thats why its in the title lol.. the number plate was **51 ZED im guessing?? ah gotcha - personal plate.
  19. I would suggest that before you start throwing money at the car throw a bit to an Independent specialist for an informed opinion. If you post up your location (town/county) then we can point you in the direction of someone suitable. Oh and if you weren't given any printouts of the 4 wheel alignment I guess they don't have the equipment and while a piece of string (or however they do it) can be used lasers will always give a more accurate reading.
  20. Not fit for purpose - end of. If they don't pick it up and fix it pronto tell 'em that and you want your money back.
