  1. The 350 spacesaver certainly does not fit over the 370 calipers. But by using a 15mm spacer it will fit on a 370, which requires the removal of the 10mm bolt. In snow you are worse off having wide wheels - rather like aquaplaning with standing water (recent F1 wet races demonstrated that so well). In fact in any slippery conditions the narrower the driven wheels the better (as I remember from my trialing days) and the reason why winter tyres not only have chunky tread blocks but are considerably narrower than 'summer tyres' , so I would not agree with Ekona's suggestion in the context of this thread heading.
  2. Thought the space saver went on the rear - doesnt clear the front Brembos? Got me thinking now - is that why the "bolt" is fitted to the front hubs to stop the spacesaver being used there, as you fit the rear OEM wheels on the front with the bolt in place. 2006 hand book warning notes about the spare and no other warnings I can see about not using on the front/rear axles : The T-type spare tire should be used for emergency use only. It should be replaced by the standard tire at the first opportunity. Drive carefully while the T-type spare tire is installed.Avoid sharp turns and abrupt braking while driving. Periodically check the T-type spare tire inflation pressure, and always keep it at 60 psi (420 kPa, 4.2 bar). Do not drive your vehicle at speeds faster than 50 MPH (80 km/h). Do not use tire chains on a T-type spare tire. Tire chains will not fit properly on the T-type spare tire and may cause damage to the vehicle. Tire tread of the T-type spare tire will wear at a faster rate than the standard tire. Replace the T-type spare tire as soon as the tread wear indicators appear. Because the T-type spare tire is smaller than the original tire, ground clearance is reduced. To avoid damage to the vehicle, do not drive over obstacles. Also, do not drive the vehicle through an automatic car wash since it may get caught. Do not use the T-type spare tire on other vehicles. Do not use more than one T-type spare tire at the same time. Do not tow a trailer while the T-type spare tire is installed. Which means my idea of using 2 spacesavers is out
  3. On your previous thread Mark from Abbey said: "knocking noise , detonation maybe? was you running low on fuel when you added the injector cleaner? Do a ECU reset and make sure the ca rid fille dup with Super before running it again. But reading the problem I suspect a Air flow meter problem , Zmanalex can supply these as a good price at the moment" Is this the answer?? As you say, its black smoke so hopefully it is not the engine bottom end. I suggest you get a decent mechanic to take a look - send a pm to ChrisS who is in your part of the world - he knows a good one
  4. You spent the last 5 weeks trying to find it then - linky please
  5. Thread locked as item sold

  7. Don't get John all excited now
  8. probably ended up with one vote if we were lucky It worked on Bernie to get F1 there so they probably got off cheap with FIFA
  9. Having seen several similar threads in the past, as Alex says and who probably knows more about ZEDS than the rest of us put together on here (not including other spealist traders on here), the air lock suggestion does sound a strong possibility. Another possibility is the thermostat is stuck as your symptons sound very similar to an issue I had in another car many years ago. But should you need parts ZMANALEX normally has everyting in stock (new and secondhand) and I'm sure he would talk you through the checking process if you contacted him
  10. What was your girfriend's name Lee?
  11. To my darling husband, Before you return from your overseas trip I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the pick up truck when I turned into the driveway. Fortunately not too bad and I really didn't get hurt, so please don't worry too much about me. I was coming home from Sylvia Park and when I turned into the driveway I accidentally pushed down on the accelerator instead of the brake.. The garage door is slightly bent but the pick up fortunately came to a halt when It bumped into your car. I am really sorry, but I know with your kind-hearted personality you will Forgive me. You know how much I love you and care for you my sweetheart. I am enclosing a picture for you. I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again. Your loving wife. XX P.S. Your girlfriend phoned.

You might find an even greater desire to lower the car and unless you are upping the rim size to 19" the handling might not be so good - the 350 in standard form was honed by Nissan for ulimate driving pleasure, and tha'ts what got its reputation. I've seen many opinions expressed on here that whilst the look of the car can be improved in the wheel department that does not always balance with improved handling - often the opposite
  14. +1 - Sparks you ought to get one of those in quick here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=41544&hilit=calendar
  15. The local Greggs in Epsom do a mean bread pudding But don't tell the wife
  16. Even without studs, using two spacesavers would be better than the standard wheels/tyres in snow and ice as there is more chance of cutting through the ice when the wheels do spin and finding grip. But as Chris suggests, do you really want the chore of swopping wheels when the snow and ice comes and goes? Yes winter tyres are the most practical solution if you really have to use the ZED 12 months a year and snow and ice is about - but also fill up the boot with bags of rock salt to help provide some weight over the rear wheels and for use when you really do bog down and no one about to give you a push
  17. Beautiful to watch - wow what a "job" Particularly liked the bit where he does the mulitple spins through the wetted area - to keep that momemtum going from one side to the other in a straight line - that is really awesome
  18. Looks really good Liam - -hope you will be joining us again in Wales in May to show it all off
  19. Bet you were in heaven there Stan with all those fluffy toys - memories of the Hoon
  20. It is a beautiful area - the coastline is just stunning. But if you are driving bear in mind the roads are very, very tight in places and the Italian bus drivers in particular, and who are truly amazing at getting through gaps you would not think possible, take no prisoners should you misjudge something. So, in a right hand drive car be prepared for the odd dent or scrape
