  1. Think you find it is only one year unless things have changed since the 2009 models and Nissan have not updated their website: http://www.nissan-aftersales.co.uk/assi ... assistance Sorry But I got a free year extra with my first service
  2. Congratulations - no doubt the best team won. Yep, you seemed to be happy with the result. Great pics BTW. So which of your two red bulls have been nominated to, er, contain the prancing horse
  3. Does your Zed give you grief regularly each month Apart from paying the fuel bills
  4. Good news given what it says here: http://www.moneywise.co.uk/news-views/2 ... -the-roads "What's more worrying is that many people will buy a category D write-off vehicle without realising because the seller does not have to tell them. And as many insurance companies won't insure category C or D vehicles, it is vital that potential buyers get any vehicle checked out before they part with their money."
  5. Be careful about your replacement car and who is expected to pay for at the end of the day See this thread - sounds all too similar: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=42113
  6. There is a really excellent guide that SteveW did - see his first post here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=30870
  7. PIAA blades are recommended - a tad expensive but used with their rain repellant (or RainX) will mean you only have to use the wipers in severe conditions as it will just bead off at 40mph+. You should be able to check the fluid level by holding your finger over the small hole on the cap before lifting out - that will hold the remianing fluid in the pipe to see what you have
  8. It isn't this roadster by chance...? viewtopic.php?f=70&t=42852 and a few pics of your new pride and joy would be nice
  9. Sounds nothing like Mini straight cut gears, as I remember them. better strap your phone on the front of the car to to see if that improves the sound quality
  10. Welcome to 370 ownership - the first white roadster I have seen and can't imagine there many of those about
  11. No need for a pull back - RB have won the constructors - if the points situation towards the end favours a Webber title win and Alonso is going to be no better than 4th, a DNF for Vettel would do if Webber is a strong second - "Actung! the engine has just blown" (or whatever) as no prizes for 2nd in the drivers championship
  12. can we expect a unique colour as well?? lol Yeah, come on Paul spill the beans
  13. I think you will find that is Rosso Red - the same as AK350's Easily the best red Nissan have used on a 350 IMO.
  14. Ignore all those rude types ^^^^ mookstar, we won't bite (well, not often) if you want to tell us a little more - like do you have a ZED/planning to get one/just curious/registered on the wrong forum by mistake - only joking on that last one - they got me at now
  15. subjective, but what's not is it's a bore of a car. A TT being boring is subjective, having measurably less levels of NVH isn't. Not sure how much you have driven a TT and 370 Dan to form a view that it is "miles ahead", but having thoroughly enjoyed two 350's I was keen to see how a 370 performed in comparison before signing up for one and got the opportunity to try 2 different 370's on the road (manual and auto) and one at the Silverstone Acedemy and was quite satisfied it represented a a big step up in all the aspects of a sports car that I value................ within my budget. Neither June or I find the 370 has any noise, vibration or harshness that we find intrusive - only a sense of purpose you expect from such a car. Having carefully selected the Stillen nearly a year back after researching what seemed hundreds of posts on US forums, it has done for the 370 what the Nismo exhaust did for my last 350, made it a true sounding sports car with no adverse affect on cabin noise on long journeys. The one big downside of the 370 is the very tame standard exhaust (as most seem to acknowledge) - I can only describe the difference is really like chalk and cheese. Yes the TT might be seen as a comparable car but from all the reports I have read of road testers that I have high regard for (and who were instrumental in my decision to buy my first 350) it was that the 4 wheel drive tends to kill the driving pleasure, particuarly when you want to indulge in a bit of spirited driving on dry roads. OK, so when it gets wet a TT will be the sensible option but then when I looked deeper - did I really want to make what I would call a sideways step - you know my answer. Yes I too would love a 911 and did consider a Cayman (again having read informed write ups) but money wise to give me what the 370 has it wasn't on unless I got a s/h one with little warranty left - something that is important to me having no garage or wishing to pay big money for fixes. But hey, do you know what convinced me to get a 370, having weighing up all the options - this place. The great community spirit, enjoying some good banter and having made many new good friends and enjoying driving opportunities with like minded members is what really puts the into ZED ownership. No airs and graces, just pure enthusiasts who know they have found a great car of their (realistic) dreams. I find it interesting just how many ex 350 owners remain members on here and regularly contribute on the forum - a sure indication of the high regard they have for one of our generations best sports cars, which for me is carried forward with the 370. OK the purists will say that is no way to make a decsion about car choice. But for me its the whole package, even after 5 years of ZED ownership I still can't wait to get out in GUNS and blow the cobwebs away, see kids taking pics as you pass by and never ending compliments from complete strangers - now that does make it if you are limited to a purchase price up to £30k with a trade-in. No Andrew, you are certainly not alone
  16. That looks really good on the quartz. From what you describe it sounds the same as the one smartmove put on his white 370 (now sold). Somehow I think the gloss looks better on the quartz than it does on white - just my opinion, as I have no regrets about the matt c/f wrap on mine which to my eyes seems well suited with the pearlescent white. One drawback living on a beautiful island eh, shortage of specialist places to help mod your ZED
  17. "The Spaniard's car stopped out on the track towards the end of the session. Ferrari said the engine in the car was at the end of its life and the failure happened two laps earlier than expected. The team had anyway been planning to change Alonso's engine between first and second practice, which starts at 1600 GMT."
  18. Yep, Nic was at Wales last May - very, very rare pic of her actually cleaning a car, and not hers Although I guess she was repaying Matt for cleaning hers parked next to his
  19. heh lol! Will take some better pics when I get chance, but there's some more still up at Pisonheads:- http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2132535.htm Ian From the PH pics it is definitely a UK car (with the optional Rays then) or someone has gone to an awful lot of trouble and expense to make it look like one Only thing I can see it has and is not UK spec is the reversing sensors Quite often the Fairlady 'tag' gets applied to 350s irrespective of whether they are an import or not. BTW - get yourself along to this: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=42422 and we all give the car a good look over. Easy for you join us at Horsham
  20. Thanks for the warm welcome folks - yes it's fitted with a Steel Mate reverse parking sensor like this one:- but with a Japanese voice. I take it that's not standard then? Ian That is definitely not standard - best to post up some more pics of the car - from the rear and close up of guages to fully confirm if UK or not. The you tube clip made me laugh - when it said STOP - was waiting for a another comment to follow, like OUCH
  21. Never have fancied something sticking out my rear end either - could do some nasty damage
  22. Happy for you to put what ever you like over Husky's head if it keeps him quiet for a while
