  1. You might wish to review the price and indicate what has changed on the car since you first posted your car was for sale some 15 months ago As many have found, dealers (especially Nissan) are unlikley to offer a sensible trade-in value on a moded ZED such as yours. You should do better going to an independent, but I would suggest you try pistonheads or autotrader where you may find more interest if none pops up from your latest post on here.
  2. As Dave says, get it cheked pronto - sounds like something is bent and not only will the handling be strange, if not dodgy, she/you will be wearing the tyre(s) out badly.
  3. Good question Graham. No need to put my name on the raffle list Stephen, just happy to contribute
  4. Doh!!! Sorry folks I was convinced it was today! Old age my memory is going - recycle this thread on the 14th then! Locked until the 14th then You now have the responsibility to remind us to unlock it Stan
  5. Thread locked - see here for further updates: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=35888&start=30
  6. Bottom line is the bigger the empire/budget they manage, the fatter the top cats salaries will be and nowhere is this more rife nowadays than in public services. It gets my goat when you hear "they earn £250k a year" or whatever. When you think of what little nurses (for example) "earn" doing shift work and dealing with the traumas they have to face most days can you imagine the fat cats doing that - certainly not for a tenth of what they get given for number crunching Climbs off soapbox
  7. Having worked in Local Government until 2002, I was pleased to get out having seen what is supposed to be a public service largely ruined by the belief that bringing in management that had business background would mean greater efficiences. In the '90's senior management salaries started going through the roof on the basis they had to be paid those sums to get the 'expertise' attracted. But most had little, if any actual related public sector experience but were very good at the 'talking the talk'. Their briefs were simple - make as much money from the 'services' Council's were under a duty to supply and ditch anything that cost money. A huge salary gulf emerged between those at the coal face and those excutives sitting in plushly appointed offices, receiving salaries close to, or which even better the Prime Minister. Totally demoralising for those staff committed to public service beliefs and working their butts off for relative peanuts, although unfortunately it has to be said there are the nine-to-fivers and do the minimum in Council's who once they have their foot in the door are virtually impossible to get rid with HR and the PC brigade laying down so many do's and don'ts surrounding employment. But there again I suspect all large employers inevitably 'carry' a proportion of nine-to-fivers and do the minimum. My eldest son is LG and is tearing his hair out over just such a situation - but in his case the target set for his clown of a boss who has no idea about the service they talked themself into, is totally impossible to achieve and amounts to little more than that's persons £175k salary! Guess what I am trying to say, having read some of the anti council comments on this thread, is please don't generalize about public service in the sense that all who work there are bad. There are a lot sticking it out (I don't know how) that remain dedicated to the concept of public service and will often work far more hours than they get paid. Not sure what the current percentage is, but when I was in LG, Council Tax accounted for about a quarter of Council spend (excluding the police and others), with the vast majority coming each year from Central Government allocation through other taxation. So when you next get a visit from a politican seeking your vote ask when they are going to start running your local Council to benefit the local community and not as a retreat for overpaid excutives who are responsible for introducing measures that otensibly are money-making/saving ideas for the Council but in reality are often no more than covering their own existence at the community's expense!
  8. Welcome to the forum Have a look under the "zeds for sale" section to help see what you get for your money but, as an example if you are looking for the latest 350 spec and fancy and a fairly rare colour: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=43867 (providing the owner has not withdrawn the sale )
  9. As Stew mentions, if the headings included the subject concerned it would help others when later searching for something that might be quite useful in the thread but gets lost under a clueless intro Yes, as Mods we could change the headings but self-moderation is by far the best option
  10. Another perspective on the TT - written by someone with whom I have high regard for in terms of objective assessments on car testing http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... tt_rs.html But I think if I had the money to afford a Cayman with similar spec to the 370, I would rather put it towards the best s/h 911 I could get. Edit: Evo's review in 2009 between the 370 and Cayman - not much in it - except for the price. http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/cargrou ... 0z_gt.html
  11. I haven't come across the Agency Power system myself. From the clip: , it sounds OK externally but I would be a bit concerned about the noise level internally if what we are hearing on that clip is true. Fine for short periods, but on long journeys that might be just too much. Personally, I feel the (non-rolled) tips are letting the system down lookwise - similar to a K1 without the bungs. But at the end of the day it is a personal thing and if you like it and it fits your budget........
  12. Stalker............... And you changed email address on Jan 15 2010...... And as he is less than 8 miles from me - its a fair cop  But he has no worries though, me being extra
  13. There were some MY03 ZED's that were not first registered until late 2006/early 2007, even though the "facelift" version (MY06) first appeared in the UK in Feb/March 2006. So you are sure yours is a "facelift" version - I ask that as looking at your post history I can't see any pics of your car?
  14. Welcome to the forum Not heard of that issue before, makes me think whether some debris might have got stuck or the moving parts have got some build-up that might clear with a few minutes of continually opening and folding the mirror. If not, I would be inclined to try some WD40.
  15. What kind of grease did you use? Cause the recommended from Nissan grease is extremely expensive!! Remember ZMANALEX's advice above
  16. Happy New Year and safe driving guys
  17. Try this link from the 350 guides section: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15928&hilit=clicking+rear+axle
  18. Further to what I last posted, with the cold weather the 'scrubbing' has appeared again on full lock, so there is definitely some connection with tyre temperature. And yes, the tramlining is annoying me more, notwithstanding the check/adjustment by Nissan, so as Mark (Abbey) has suggested looks like I need to make an appointment there
  19. That wasn't me then - my sig shows I keep it nice and clean in Wales
  20. Actually she is a prison officer and if she read that I would be in solitary for a week.... Again Is that a euphemism for bondage
  21. That's a helpful link Ace, as my PrimaF is coming up for its 18th birthday although I have been told it should have a few years life in it yet
  22. It's a known issue - search under smells. Some of the links for the remedy do not work but this is what you need: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165632
