  1. Ironically I feel like there's more on the market now than ever before. OEM, OEM+ and fully modified ones. Sure there's a (maybe 2?) supercharged Zs on AutoTrader atm too. Think @Payco might be onto something here.
  2. Take the boot weight out and add a few pennies into the spring mechanism even my spoiler doesn't stop my hatch from opening one handed now.
  3. I've already been back several times to check the track photos out MK1 Nismo on track is a sight to behold.
  4. Ditto - I want the ecutek tune but bought the car with an uprev tune. Doesn't make financial sense to get another tune.
  5. 370z track toy. This is a thread I'm gonna follow with a passion. TJ Hunt on YouTube might be worth a follow. He's fitted a larger baffled oil sump, holds an extra quart of oil which has helped his engine temps massively.
  6. Peppermint and citrus smells repel them. See if you've got anything to spray on? Mint tea leaves? Orange peel might be a good shout like Davey said.
  7. Hey and welcome. Nice motor there, be great to see your journey in picture form on IG. Enjoy!
  8. Welcome to the OC! Drop a few photos of your new pride and joy. Glad to hear you're enjoying it.
  9. The car is at least 10 years old and priced like a Nissan
  10. Surely just makes more sense to scrap road tax and add a penny extra to the price of fuel at the pump, the current road tax system makes zero sense in my eyes. Tax people on usage and actually pump that money back into the system. The opposite of what they did with the railways, more expensive than its ever been to get the train to work. They're forcing diesels off in London and all its done is let all us Northerners pick up a bargain diesel BMW. Probably be a nice export business if they continue down this ULEZ route. Though saying all this, I still haven't seen an eco-friendly initiative take off from the various tax pots (VED, ULEZ, Congestion etc). Problem gonna be when they do it could be like these "smart" motorways all over again
  11. This is golden advice. Let the flexi be the sacrificial lamb otherwise you'll just engineer a more expensive point to become your point of failure. Any half decent exhaust shop can weld new flexis in for you.
  12. Nismo V1 Welcome my man, hope you enjoy the Z life! You've got a beauty there.
  13. Bumping, accepting any offers else its off into the bin.
  14. 370z Z1 Motorsports Urethane Motor Mounts Z1 Motorsports Urethane Motor Mount Set for all Nissan 370Z, GT-R (R35), Infiniti G37, Q50, & Q60 models. £180 delivered.
  15. Ditto. Chipex has worked well for me. Touching up the front bumper or the bonnet?
  16. Welcome welcome! Nice Nismo there. Black on black, little too batman for me but as long as you're enjoying her! Nice photos and as mentioned above, the paint looks in decent nick.
  17. Nothing wrong with an auto! Just enjoy the car and let us all know what mods you make. Welcome to the OC and post a few photos up of the new motor.
  18. I'm definitely not the guru ha! Wish I had his patience and skills. I'm just a lowly imposter.
  19. Sounds like you need to take off the gear gaiter and readjust the gear shifter plate, that's usually one issue and most linked to 5th/6th gear shift. Google tells me it is usually a problem when the clutch is changed etc. Most 370z's struggle with 2nd and many spend silly money trying to fix the phantom grinding issue. There's a technique, usually better letting 1st gear rev out and changing after 4k or 5k revs. Could also try an aftermarket gear stick with a little more weight to help with gear changes. Ask the mechanic to take the OEM transmission mount off, give it a clean and put it back on. Personally I think it's less an issue and more an adjustment to the Japanese/Nissan transmission - assuming the car is a manual. Plenty of independent specialists but with what you've said, I don't think it warrants a visit. No error codes, no stupid noises or clutch pedal not returning. Maybe get someone else to drive the car and see what they say?
  20. Take it to an independent Z specialist first - they've seen them all and will be able to point you in the right direction. What's actually the symptoms? Noise? Feel? Vibrations? Struggles in the cold? Struggles in the wet? Struggles until the engine is warm? Upload videos and explain the problem. Not much the interweb can do without a little analysis. Mileage would help too. Maybe the car wasn't run in properly by the previous owner?
  21. https://workshoptwelve.com/nissan-370z/ Plenty of links to the US and AUS forums where its more common place. Tend to find the 09/59 plates did the tablet swap (due to lack of Navigation/the upgrade released in the 11+ models) and also where people had the base model. YT above shows one of the few UK cars that actually did it.
  22. One for you @Adrian@TORQEN! Oh and for anyone else detailing their exhaust tips
  23. MK7.5 Golf R is the perfect all round car. Driving it was easy when you wanted it to be, fun when you wanted to flip the switch. The whole virtual cockpit makes life so much simpler too. Perfect for a little drive with the lads/family. Small enough to park anywhere, big enough to carry some luggage. MK8, I do wanna sit in one and see how they've pushed it on but there isn't much left to achieve in the Golf. MK7.5 Golf R was a point and shoot machine, sun or snow, it always has grip and power on tap. Not a weekend toy but still an above average car for all occasions.
  24. If you're keeping it OEM/OEM+ then I'm sure there's a few MK1 Nismo's on AutoTrader atm. They'll be good to go view. If you're going to mod it, then I'd say get a base/GT depending and mod that instead. I mean if you want to put a CAI, exhaust and springs/coilovers then the uprated OEM exhaust and suspension are wasted from the Nismo.
