ISR do a 300 cell set of cats for DE and HR. You tried going for a good drive pre MOT? Could also try catalytic cleaners? Safest option is run OEM cats for the MOT.

@GranTurismoEra I like and respect the fact that you're putting this info up. You've taken your fair share of cynicism and in the end been proven right. I'm excited to hear about a new Z and I'm glad these threads have toned down with the rumour quashing. In the current world it was nice to have something to fantasise about and now it's something we can turn to anticipation. Gutted about the R36 but bang for buck, it's losing ground and its probably better for its reputation to stay away for a while. Bring on the 400z!

Agreed. I've used WetCoat and the difference between hosepipe and jet wash application is night and day. Applying it dry is mind boggling IMO and wet application works much better with a strong jet wash - if you're going to hosepipe it off, you're better of not buying the product. Though for the price point I will go Meguiar's next time. Wet Coat is a PITA, apply too much and you always end up with water marks, apply too little and you'll question value for money.

PPF your front bumper and bonnet (yes I've seen stone chips on the bonnet). The W brace will inevitably rust but if you garage it and avoid salt/grit then it'll survive 10+ years. If you're ahead of the curve then you can coat/treat it before any obvious signs set in. Get an aluminium undertray to help the OEM swaybar from flaking and rusting. Check the rear wheel arches for dirt - best indication on how well its been detailed and if its been driven in snow/mud/dirt/salt/grit etc (expect more on the left wheel arch compared to the right for obvious reasons)

Quite a few people have aftermarket exhausts and cats. Not heard of any issues, MOT tester most likely won't care and police won't pull you over for a loud exhaust - you won't be the only one on the road with a louder exhaust If you're hooning it around car parks then it'll be totted up on reasons to harass you. Buy it, fit it, enjoy it and don't worry!

If only I could repeat this on my car! You honestly treat your Z with such finesse and it shows. We all know your car will be the cleanest example we come across when lockdown ends! I'll be waiting for the YouTube uploads

Swapped them around (passanger and drivers swapped with one another) and everything is miraculously working. I'm losing my mind. Guess the bulb wasn't sat in properly

Anyone here swapped out their map lights for LED bulbs? One of mine has gone, so tempted to swap all the interior lights out with LED ones, assuming they will all shortly go. Not sure if generic ebay ones are good enough or if I should get any specific ones.

OP - I suggest plugging through the Zeds For Sale section on here. Find yourself a forum member who's potentially documented what they've done to their car. Quite a few for sale at the right price - just missed out on a relatively cheap supercharged 370z with Amuse kit. Plenty of 350z too if you want some change.

Good write up on a clear coat repair here. Else Google "370z B pillar removal" and there's a few how to guides on removing the pillars without snapping the 3 clips. Provided you've got patience and a trim removal tool (flathead screwdriver and some tape/sponge) it's a DIY job and you can fudge a repair on the clips. Supposedly A and B pillars need to be removed to change the windscreen. . .

I'm planning on a repair on my 370z headlights, it's gonna mean baking the light and taking it to pieces to glue, sand and polish it. Gonna finish it all off with a wrap to protect it from the elements. But yes I'm assuming the best way is to open the headlights and glue on the inside and outside, sand/smooth it down and polish/coat it. Share some photos of your headlights.

Nissan service schedule defines the services as P1, P2 and P3 and IIRC its at every 9k miles or 12 months. Some suggest changing the oils at 30k/36k miles though Nissan only usually check the oils if they service your car - added cost to refresh them. Follow @ZMANALEX advice as he's the guru here. My 2 pence is I've had different opinions from my mates with the feel of 1st to 2nd and 5th to 6th like you've mentioned. Concluded it depends on what car you're coming from and what feels/sounds normal. Most people refresh the oils and feel an improvement.

I'd also say let another Z driver test drive your car - or for you to drive another Z and feel the difference. Assume the diff and gearbox oils have never been refreshed? Has it ever had a P3?
