  1. Surely this is a little ambitious ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-2003-2009-BREAKING-AIR-FILTER-INDUCTION-PIPE-/142373046077?fits=Model%3A350+Z&hash=item212618473d:g:jXEAAOSwaB5Xq5B2
  2. Yeah had a look at that - just being a HR puts me off - cheers though There were a couple of DE's for less than £2100 (one has a reserve) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z/262986790069 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350z/142379229811
  3. There are 2 cheaper on ebay but this looks reasonable http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nissan-350z-313bhp-1-previous-owner-lovely-condition-ono-reserve/172672278087
  4. Cheap as chips and will probably fir in the cubby http://www.ebay.co.u...hgAAOSwXeJYDxK4 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-3-TFT-LCD-Monitor-HD-IR-Night-Vision-Reversing-Camera-170-Car-Rear-View-Kit/222120723940?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D43781%26meid%3D5f6f8c4547ee406ca6bfc254e0268749%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D262690172082 For the price, if they are crap you can just bin it.
  5. If on the pic above you mean the blue X lid seating down on to the rubber ? There must be either adjustment in the 2 catches on the post things or on the strikers on the flip up lid. The one in the above picture looks different to mine, I'll pop it open tomorrow if it's not raining and have a look. Or Alex will most probably know
  6. Gave the Mrs's shed a quick clean and hand polish Really need some of that solution finish for the plastics...
  7. Sweet baby Jesus and the angels ! What the bloody hell is that ? Im going to go and gouge my eyes out.
  8. Sounds like it needs a full rebuild, so only worth its weight in scrap at a guess. That said it's worth whatever someone will pay for it.
  9. From this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/89882-can-anyone-identify-these-buttons/
  10. I know some say the paint is thin on the Z but yours is see through Nice reflections !
  11. Spot on, if your fitting the bumpers and spoilers etc from the Nismo kit then you can rest assured they will be better aero wise than the run of the mill production stuff. If you start bolting on McRandom crap from China or something then yeah, expect to have crappy aero and a list of issues. As for weight saving, all the positive sides you get will out do the negative 'lively back end' that said, that can mostly be dialed out with the geo anyway
  12. Filter and kit arrived, many thanks Bob.
  13. I've got a fully stripped out boot and find that it messes up the weight distribution and handling. Really ? That's quite strange as usually the space saver isn't included in the curb weight so shouldn't have any negative effect. The few lbs of plastic 'could' off set the weight a little but not to the extent you would notice a determent to the handling, not unless your right on the limit, which on public roads you won't be.... I find the biggest influence to be fuel load, the sweet spot seems to be 1/2 tank. However, I expect there are slight variations to this from Coupe to Roadster too.
  14. Bloody hell, never heard one that bad before. Nice work
  15. Just fit space savers all round plus one in the boot and your good to go I just don't even bother carrying the space saver, dead weight to lug about. 100's of mobile tyre fitters out there now. Roadside puncture repair to get you by.
  16. Seen someone on youtube use Blue lock tight for this, they applied it to the splines though, im guessing it's not the best idea ?
  17. I'll go with naff tyres, mine was like a greasy eel till I go decent rubber all round. Now I have to be a total tool to get ESP or TC to kick in
  18. Just a small addition, maybe she should actually tell him how she feels and split on good terms. She is running the risk of him declaring bankruptcy/leaving the country then she will be liable for 100% of the debt. (sounds like he has lumped most of it on her anyway) Even with bad credit, there are lenders who will still give him money at a high rate, nothing to stop him doing a crazy loan and firing off. This is a minefield your in at the moment, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Just make sure you look after your own interests first, sounds selfish but don't let one failed relationship bugger yours.
  19. Drivers door has a little cap in the bottom, one screw then pops off Passenger side, pop off the aluminium strip in the middle of the grab handle. Behind there are 2 8mm bolts. Pull the handle off, needs a decent tug. Then just use a trim tool to pop the surround off. Switches just clip off with a small flat head screwdriver. Takes about 3 minutes per side.
  20. I'd say it's a nice car for the money (must add i've never seen the car in person so going on description and age etc), just factor in you 'may' need to replace the front discs and pads and a few sensors. With parts and labor you could be around £1000 depending what you use and if you can DIY it. The W brace, you can get one from Alex or one of the traders on here if you want new about £240 for new plus fitting. Or some just take them off ? Headlights, there are loads of guides to fix these so no real cost there just materials. A few sheets of wet and dry and some Lacquer £10 ish plus a couple of hours of your time. It's getting to the time in life for a good number of Z's now that they will need stuff done, just make sure you have the little slush fund for any repairs. Buy on condition, drive a few get a feel for the little quirks they have but if im honest buying from a member is usually the way to go as have been cared for. You won't get dealer piece of mind warranty though. Oh and don't waste your time with Warranty Wise etc they just worm out of everything.
  21. I had similar feelings in mine, until I fitted one of these from Moped http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107048-blinged-custom-gear-knobs/ They suit the car to a T and the throw is far more positive. I'd say they weight is pretty much bang on where it needs to be. Additionally, when you do come to change it, you will need to remove the surround and the rubber boot under it. You must grip the shaft they are on tight ! don't just try and twist off or you could damage the box. I had to use 2 pairs of grips to get mine off, destroying the Golfball one in the process.
