  1. If im honest, I wasn't really interested in the GT when I got mine. Heard the leather seats are less grippy than the cloth and im not a fan of heated seats, the sat nav is pants, I never use cruise control and the Bose was a bit sensitive to things like turning it on, being cold, being warm or if the day had a Y in it. Oh and the not making quick decisions is a good thing when buying a Z Buy with your head and not your heart. Find the right one that's been looked after, there are a few member cars up for sale at the moment i'd start there. Edit: Like this one for example http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113965-2006-350z-gt-facelift-71k-price-drop-7050/#entry1697601
  2. Are they roughly the same size ? If so, that should do the job. How much do you want for it ?
  3. Got some of the light smoke and mid smoke. The light was not dark enough so here is the medium: https://ibb.co/eNTmo5 https://ibb.co/f9XqFk Should also add, if you plan on doing headlights and rear lights you will need 4 100x30 cm sheets.
  4. Hi All, As the title says, im after the little Z off the boot. I need one for a little engine bay mod im planning. Cheers Steve
  5. Mine ticks over at about 750 when warm and about 850 with AC. 900 is a little fast.
  6. Im not mate, but happy to pay postage on it.
  7. If it doesn't sell, i'll probably take the filter and recharge kit. Don't need the airbox.
  8. Or go totally insane and drop a Focus RS lump in a Ka
  9. How are you finding these after a few months ? They are currently on Demon Tweeks for £333+vat Worth getting or not ?
  10. Where did you get the tint from ? wouldn't mind toning mine down a little too.
  11. And yeah I know, the tyre's are fubar. They are going on Saturday, and all that curbing wasn't me :/
  12. Possibly fuel damper, timing chain a little slack, one of the front belt pulleys or idlers heard the bearings in those do go sometimes or a rod bearing would be my guess, that may be louder than your knock. Those are the main knocky things. Whats the oil level like and how old is said oil ? Can you upload a video of the noise ?
  13. About 4 years ago, my own fault. Phone wasn't in the cradle and connected to BTooth. Mrs phoned me and I answered it, drove by the Po Po with a phone to my ear, as expected it was a short call as I had to speak with the nice gentleman in uniform. He even gave me a certificate and a special offer
  14. Ordered a full set of the Rainsport 3's stock sizes. They are going on next Saturday ready for the 3rd
  15. Was just pondering a little more width on them. But having looked at the tyre calculator, its not worth it. The difference isn't worth the faffing.
  16. Thanks guys, Another quick one. I have the bog standard touring 18s. I need new rubber. Can I go with 235/40/18s and 255/40/18's over the 225/45 and 245/45 ? Steve
  17. Im ready for new front pads, are these: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/pads/512-350z-stoptech-street-performance-brake-pads-front-brembo-30909600.html the right ones for a 2005 DE with Brembo's ? MOT is due on the 3rd May and the fronts are squealing/audible wear indicator thing :/
  18. As the title says, the Z is due for the first MOT while i've owned her. I recall reading I should make the test center aware of not testing rear brakes on a roller due to the diff is this correct ? Are there any other little quirks I need to be aware of or inform the testers of ? Thanks in advance
  19. Think that one has been on sale for a while now, pretty sure that is the same one they had when I was looking over 12 months ago ?
  20. Wigan town center is good for that bit
  21. Nah don't listen to these lot, Gunmetal is the fastest colour. Also if you get a Roadster, they go from 0 to Sunshine at the click of a button Honestly though, best thing to do is drive a few if you can. Worth travelling 500 miles to buy the right one rather than settling for a lemon because it's local.
  22. I may be wrong, but wasn't this the rebuild that was considered cheap ? Is it possible a few corners have been cut or the running in wasn't done correctly ? Plus, 500 miles at redline out of 1000 miles covered :O So soon after a rebuild can't be doing it much good if im honest. Hope this is something silly like a small leak on the sump or filter, or you could be looking at another strip down...
  23. Not bad at all, far cheaper than I thought. Guess they are just doing a local patch up on the paint.
  24. If your not going to pursue the claim, i'd just find a decent bodyshop and get the glass out. If the rust isn't too far gone then it can probably be ground out and repainted, shouldn't need to be cut out. The A pillars can be blended and the roof can just be painted or wrapped, still going to be looking at about £800 at a guess.
  25. Sorry, lost track of this one. Not had any experience with what they have suggested, surely that is a claim from your own insurance though ? Who advised you raise it with the insurance under "Reasonable care/Skill" ? As that is the grounds for the original fitter to cover the costs. That is the primary cause of your issue.
