  1. I got one from ebay a couple of months ago (about £85) - I can only echo EXACTLY what you said and as I have mentioned on other threads. I think for a daily drive, the Hardrace rubber mount would be less intrusive noise wise but either way, get rid of the OEM one as it's awful !!!
  2. Which is also my thinking for the Quaife - no maintenance (iirc), for me a bits of a way off at the moment anyway but just idle thinking...
  3. These ones are more for drifting in comparison to the Quaife ATB right ?
  4. I think you should read through various posts here to see what the re-occurring faults/issues that crop up. And depending on your finances, I personally always stick to buying cars from the owner clubs, ones that are well known and have an active member that has kept a record of work done. Obviously the interior is typical Japanese plastics, so it'll not be quite up there with German stuff (imho) BUT that is off-set by a far sweeter, fun drivers car (and plenty of options to take it more responsive/sporty or GT).
  5. Probably someone from here spotted this and cancelled it. My money is on Bradders
  6. I'm interested in a 350z one at some point for sure but I'll probably have to wait a bit as I must get a few other little bits done first
  7. Rob, where do you get the CG locks from and are they expensive? Just thinking would be a good idea if I could get hold of one for my longer drives (maybe too late for Wales, but I've got a trip to Lake District with family next month too) I just ordered my one via demon tweaks (on their ebay store)
  8. If you've got a massive mug of coffee to hand - I'd recommend reading these articles: http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/bed-in-theory-definitions-and-procedures/brake-pad-bed-in & http://stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/-warped-brake-disc-and-other-myths
  9. I don't like the 350z seats either, pretty much no support for my lower back which starts to ache a bit after an hour. HOWEVER - now that I've slung a CG Lock onto the seatbelt, wow that's improved it massively. Firstly it locks your hips in place, so you certainly don't slide around, and as a bonus it stops you from slumping, so my back doesn't ache if I've locked myself in properly with it. It really could be worth trying that to see if it helps
  10. Just seeing where you are based, it's not ideal Aside from the above suggestions. First thing I'd go and do - bed the pads again, do it properly. Various methods but here is a good one - do it obviously in a quiet, no traffic place: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/18649-how-to-proper-brake-in-procedure/ If you still have the problem, these are things you can do at home: Remove the wheels, ensure the rear surface is totally smooth and completely flat, free of any paint. Also the hub where the discs sit, this should also be free from corrosion/dirt etc - so give that a quick rub with sanding paper. After that, it's best to ensure the wheels are weighted properly, and then I'd have the discs skimmed. Have a look at my thread here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/97748-marcus-disc-skimmers-excellent/
  11. DP7657: Ensure your brake fluid is topped up to the correct level (always worth checking!). Have you look at the US forums regarding this ? Ex: http://my350z.com/fo...nder-10mph.html type this into google: site:my350z.com abs activating (change the bold to whatever you want to search for) 'Rear: 245 25 R18' - errr - is that a typo ?
  12. Definitely take the scenic route on the way back
  13. I'm not sure but I just remember that it's a good idea to use it at least once a week for 10 mins or so
  14. Whiteline diff bushings done on Saturday morning, it didn't look fun ! Certainly would have taken me an entire weekend to do, and probably would have had to buy some new tools (saws etc) Whilst that was being done, nipped out with another customer in his 640bhp GT (f'ing fast car!!!) Then met someone else from another forum I'm on, having work done on his GTR, good nattering times Thanks again to KMC.
  15. It only leeches some power when it's on I imagine. Just fix it, you'll be punching yourself in the face during the times when you want it. I always sling my one on throughout the week to ensure it's being used, I think they can go stinky if not used (?).
  16. I'm gonna be up for a black set but it'll have to be in Autumn I think
  17. Did you actually replace the compression arms or just the bushing ?
  18. Just as a various selection... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/chevrolet/corvette/chevrolet-gmc-corvette-2003/3980397 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-carrera-996/porsche-911-996-carrera-2-2003/4028481 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/tvr/tuscan-speed-6/tvr-tuscan-2001-red-rose-midnight-blue-full-hide/4066746 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4m-roadster/z4m-coupe-3-2-2dr/3876685 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/honda/s2000/honda-s2000-496bhp-supercharged/3969885 Or SC/Turbo yours..
  19. But you want 2 seats, RWD right ?
  20. If you're 'bored' of the 350 - why don't you try another car, surely the 370 isn't THAT vastly different ?
  21. Just spray some Bilthamber Surfex HD on it to degrease it, pressure wash it down (dont go mad, just to quickly get rid of the SHD), fire it up, let it dry out. Once dry, spray Aerospace 303 over all of the engine bits, leave it for a couple of hours (dont rub it in), after that use a MF cloth and bingo - nice and clean.
  22. Email or call Sly, don't Pm (he's not really active on the forum), I was there this morning, arranged via email just over a week ago.
  23. Off to him tomorrow morning - more bushings ahoy
