I drove down last year, it was brilliant - I went via back roads, not a single police car, no traffic jams and plenty of 'spirited' driving (left on thur morn, back mon eve). One other car with me on the way down but I did solo on the way back. Actually in all honesty the driving was the most enjoyable part (don't ask ).

I'd say the set-up I have is great for the road, it's totally compliant so if you end up going over lunar surfaces (which are most UK roads right), then it handles the sudden change very nicely. If you wanted it firmer for more track use, I'd just use different springs (Swift Sport Spec-R which octet supplies iirc) but then you could consider the B8 shocks as they are for 30mm+ drop (B6's up to 30mm). As I said, for me, I just didn't want coilovers (unless I had a chance to try a bunch out). Either way, it would be good to let everyone know what you went with and how they feel

Not to take anything away from Torqen, especially as I've seen the item in the metal - I personally didn't want coilovers, and I'm very happy with the yellow billies + tein S springs + eibach arbs + dw upper camber arms + prothane bushings + whiteline bushings + superpro bushings + all of the other guff I've bought

Completely agree. Look at my one, if it was falling apart, sure, replace it. It's just to stop crud getting in.

I used Bilt Hamber Surfex HD a few weeks ago on my one, big improvement. Spray a bit onto it, a bit of warm water in a bucket, dunked it a couple of times and the dirt came off with a fresh looking filter. (I've had it on the car for at least 15k !) I let it dry out in the sunshine all day, and popped it back on the car after 24hrs. Before: After:

I use it at work as well (VFX for film/tv), admittedly everyone else is running Linux but I've managed to keep my machine on Win 7

I'm still running Win 7, I never have any issues with it, so I can't see the reason to update to 10 until all of the programs I use for visual effects only work on that. I just can't see what's better - is there some kind of comparison for it ? If it just ran my programs faster then sure, I'd use it.

I tried a can of BG44k (awful design, need a funnel!) - I may try another but what's happening for me is when it's full it reads fairly accurately but once down to halfway, it goes a bit mad. So one of the sensors is definitely buggered

About 12k approximately And what's your preference, RWD, 2 seats, power, steering feel, fun, practical etc etc (maybe just a top 3-5)
