  1. I'm just after a nismo (genuine or copy) painted kuro black rear wing. Please PM.
  2. Remember it's an open day (with a bonus dyno run), so a chance to chat about the cars and potential upgrades\service work to the car etc. Typically on these days I've been to for other car marques, they usually aren't able to work on any cars (unless emergency ) but possibly able to show a few things on a demo car for example.
  3. Welcome, I recently purchased a Z from an owner here and I'd recommend doing the same, as well as looking at a few before deciding. I was looking at the following for my budget: Evo, Subaru, RX7, M3, 350z. I knew after taking the 350 out for a test drive that it was the kind of thing I was looking to hop into next. Very glad I did
  4. I've RSVP'd on the calendar event listing, and if there isn't time to have it on the dyno, no problemo as I just had it mapped and fettled with by Jez at HD 1. John Tarantula (Michael) JDM DE 2. 5. When my friend gets back from his holiday I'm going to ask to have a go with it, although it's probably conveniently locked up for winter now Like the GTR, a truly remarkable car.
  6. C5 is on my shopping list right this moment, looks like a little bit of prep work but luckily Leigh had taken care of the wheels so they are in great condition.
  7. I'd get the bonnet and bumper protected with ventureshield ASAP.
  8. Thanks for posting this, they look very good indeed. Although I hate trying to drive up things like that as I have visions launching my self off into the garage door or something Definitely on a wanted list for me.
  9. Ah I didn't know AST also did a kit for the 350z, I've only heard good things about them from M3 owners. Sounds like there is plenty of choice.
  10. Exactly. I have been using the spray on RainX for about a year or so but it always needs reapplying after a week or two (for good results). Obviously the gtechniq stuff is different, so I'm hoping for a year or so before needing to reapply
  11. Great thread, appreciate the comments Mark I've got BC Racing coilovers on my MR2, the kit came with the harder springs which imho are far to harsh for UK roads. As the car is for sale I've not tried the softer kit they sell, however I do think they are well made and good value. However, a lot of other friends have KW's on GT3's and the nicest set up I've felt was in a friends ford GT, very nice on the road and ridiculously good on track So I'd personally try out KW's if I ever felt the need to try out coilovers again (at the moment the car feels great to me).
  12. I just wanted to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the couple of products I've bought by this company, at the moment C4 (not the explosive), and G1/G2. The glass kit was something I've wanted to try out for a while, and you definitely need to prep the car properly first of all, so watch their video to avoid disappointment. Although I need to fit some new wipers, I rubbed them down with IPA and upon first use this morning zero juddering and the water just rolled away. The rear screen also had cleared itself after a couple of mins (so after a few weeks I'll have a better idea if it's worth removing the rear wiper), so I'm impressed thus far. Obviously it's only been a couple of days with the C4 applied to plastic but it all looks like new, and was very easy to apply once again. I'll be ordering a few more bits from them in due course but much like Bilt Hamber stuff, I like it and it works
  13. I felt a similar issue but from past experience it's always been the gearbox oil, so when the car was with Horsham Dev, they put the Nissan oil in, and now feels hugely better. I'd take it to the nearest specialist to you, not a Nissan dealership.
  14. Honestly, just do the whole lot in one go, with braking it's not worth doing it a bit at a time (IMHO). I truly believe it's worth changing the discs with the new pads to get the best out of them, plus to see how the wear rates go over a period of time. Instead of booking a couple of track days, save up and get it optimised for maximum fun when you are on track
  15. Cheers for that, I'll give that a go this evening, if it doesn't help cure the issue, any other ideas guys ?
  16. I can't help but I'm noticing some squeaks from somewhere in front the steering wheel as well, a wee bit annoying sometimes.
  17. For doing a bit of everything, R35GTR. But I also adore the NSX, so I'd want one of those as well (supercharge if any spare change). It would be great to have a 360 but it wouldn't be ideal using it everyday, I'd rather use it only for fun. Lastly, any decent woman wouldn't give a flying fook about what you drive (only guys do)
  18. Although, who knows what dribbled back onto that seat mate...
  19. I guess there will be a lot of differing opinions on this but upgrade the pads for a start, however be warned very good track biased pads will squeal like a pig until warmed up, and usually leave your wheels black. Expensive but VERY good on track and road: http://www.carbotech...m/compounds.htm (XP8 compound or AX6 if not that often on track) I believe my car has yellow stuff pads, which I'm very happy with but only road use so far. My mr2 has the same yellow stuff pads, plus the motul fluid and braided lines, no problems at all, very, very good. From experience with the MR2, I'd replace both pads and discs for maximum benefit (front and rear).
  20. Just another thing worth looking into. Check the diff is ok as well, a friend had an issue in a BMW. He had a new diff installed as the old one was just worn (iirc) and he said it felt like a new car afterwards. So it's just something to bare in mind.
  21. Many thanks to the HDev guys, very friendly and they really know their stuff I had the following done: Gearbox oil change (Nissan 350z spec - was notchy before but feels good now) Ancil belts changed Uprev remap Decatted Plenum I'll post another thread with the graphs etc when I get home tonight (if my internet connection is working). Unfortunately I had to drive back just after I had gotten home, as I could hear a deep rattling, which turned out to be some adjustments required on the rest of the exhaust. I initially thought it was the old CATS in the box but it wasn't, so I'd advise everyone to have a quick test drive before pootling off. The car already had a scorpion back box fitted which does have a nice sound to it but I like a few pops from the exhaust, thus thought I'd go for a straight decatted exhaust (like my MR2). It sounds utterly fantastic at higher RPMs but at around 2000rpm there is a really annoying sound (to me at least). So I don't know what to do, I'm not sure if this is the infamous rasp that people mention but at that RPM it sounds a bit like a wasp in a tin can going mental. (vid/sound clip on the weekend) Anyway, I'll definitely head back for future servicing and any other bits and pieces Thanks guys.
  22. I managed to do the roof, heh turning out to be 1 panel per weekend at the moment but at least I'm making some slow progress. It's definitely not too cold, although I do feel like an obsessed berk out in the cold doing it
  23. Keep it and just take it out every so often for a proper run, as the main danger will be forgetting how good it actually is. Not mechanically how good it'll be (imho) This has happened several times to various mates with ridiculous supercars in their garages, they've ended up going to sell and on the test drive changing their minds.
