  1. Should be ok but I'm using a DA polisher so it'll break down okish, if your doing stuff by hand it'll be ok I reckon but just not optimum if you see what I mean. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=284702&highlight=cold
  2. There are tons of threads on this, just have a search, most have price estimates as well.
  3. Many thanks for that M13KYF - Which Matt are you referring to ? Cheers
  4. Ah ok, hope all is ok ? It was only enquiry about the bose fix.
  5. I didn't know where to post this but just wanted to PM you quickly. Many thanks
  6. I appreciate the post as well, I've just booked in with HDev for the 6th, hopefully work bloody pays me tonight (why is it that happens only when you're trying to get something done!)
  7. I guess a burning question is what are the roads like ? The ones in the demo are what made me think it's a complete NFS-style rip off. I want to drive around proper twisty roads, not the planky easy stuff that was in the demo (if that makes sense). I'll try the full game out on rental at least
  8. I've not met her yet (plenty of brief test runs though ) That's only half of it, the other half is growing a pair and being social.
  9. Flipping awesome man ! I can't wait to move out and have some space again to get a wheel set up.
  10. Yeah I was just about to ask, if you don't mind - how is the game ? I tried the demo and deleted it after 10 mins. (I love Forza 4, NFS Shift 1 & 2)
  11. I really appreciate the suggestions guys, of course I'll ring around when the time comes and hopefully they'll use tougher paint than Nissan
  12. Just a quick bump, would you guys still recommend the above places to have work done ? At some point in the new year I'd like to get the bonnet and bumper done (I'm based in Surrey, near Guildford)
  13. Yep he's a really good guy, let me visit and pick the products by hand after looking at my old car. Also just search for 350z's on detailingworld.co.uk to get some good tips and ideas.
  14. I've been doing it for years, so it's not something I need to learn but I don't find it comfortable in the 350 wearing my normal shoes. In my boots it's ok-ish as they are wider but I don't always want to twist my heel right around in order to tap it.
  15. Ok so some are saying it's good and others that it doesn't make a difference ? I need to measure the standard one and find out the width of the nismo one.
  16. I'm looking to get a different pedal or one that clamps on top. Any recommendations ?
  17. What is the purpose of this exactly ? Just tired and dumb at the end of the work day here
  18. I always prefer a tuned NA engine over FI, purely as I love high revving engines. I think it would be good to get the engine revving up to around 7500rpm but we'd still need some torque towards that end. Apart from cams for peaky power, what is the main factor for still retaining torque towards the high end of the rev's ? Alas, it's a pricey way to do things and I'm sure the S/C is very linear in delivery anyway, I'd just want a tiny bit more revs
  19. I've gotta say that I love this car, I really do. It handles completely differently to the way you'd expect it to. I've taken it around some B-roads near me yesterday and the thing just flies whilst feeling in control and stable. It's great to have plenty of torque on tap as well, short-shifting and burbling along is something I've not had for many years. The MR2 didn't come to life until it was at around 6000rpm, and even then it just has a little amount of torque, so overtaking meant deafening whom I went past It's a completely different experience, and I'm glad I enjoy both ways that they deliver a smile to my melon head There are only a couple of minor things I'd like to do and sort out. I'm having difficulties throttle blipping at the moment but hopefully with a bit more practice I'll get the hang of it in the 350z. I'm sure I'll start firing off millions of threads asking questions and what not (hath no fear I use the search function plenty).
  20. Heh, exactly what I'm intending to do but just need to give him a call, may need to postpone it now until the MR2 has gone. doh
  21. Hey Alex, Gear box and diff oil changed recently, so all good there. Just want to squeeze a bit of moly in there. Yeah definitely noticed, I've seen that it's worth going from 1st to neutral, then to 2nd (d.declutching). I'm heading to H.Dev in Nov so perhaps will get some sorted out then, rather than me tarting about in the cold

    Zedless!

R.Porter (Evo) seems to be enjoying his Jag, although could be for sale from what I read ? That's a serious luxo barge
  23. Is it fairly easy to slip a bit of Molyslip into the gearbox ? I did it on my MR2, and it definitely felt a lot better afterwards. I'm just noticing the little clunk from 1st to 2nd as well, kept thinking it was my dodgy shifting

It was great to meet you Leigh, you were just the kind of seller I was hoping to find, so I count myself very lucky. I hope you manage to find the car you are looking for next as well, I cannot say how important it is to drive before dismissing a potential (even out of curiosity) Most importantly, all the best for your family.
