  1. Thank you ever so much for putting on the day Mark and the team at Abbey, really superb, and great to meet all new faces and check out your cars
  2. Many thanks for the update, as well as reminder about locking wheel nuts Looking forwards to meeting you and other members from here, I have millions of questions unfortunately
  3. Jog on But in all seriousness, it's definitely worth posting like you did for any potential car you're looking at
  4. Since I bought my one recently (you have good taste BTW ), I can recommend sticking with the cars for sale here, unless a car you're looking at has a great and detailed service history.
  5. Hey guys, that WAS Leeroy's car and is now my car. DEFINITELY NOT FOR SALE If it's not reported already, I'll do that after I've had dinner.
  6. That was the very first run, it was about 262 consistently after that (3 runs in total before work). I'll look into some of those more basic bits over the coming weeks, and I'll look through lots of threads.
  7. That would be great, thank you, I'm based in Surrey, near Guildford. I'll be at Abbey Motorsport on the open day this Saturday, so if you're far from me hopefully someone there can take me out for a spin quickly.
  8. Morning guys. I'm really pleased with what H.Dev did so I can only +1 to their great reputation already. I think I will upgrade the Y-pipe anyway, and potentially try out a couple of different decats as and when I can (no ebay guff). It'll be a bit of a slow process on future upgrades/fettling but I'm not massively worried about chasing numbers, however I'd like to know that it's in tip top condition (do the numbers reflect that ?). Thus any advice on things to check, replace and upgrade is greatly appreciated. If I do some more minor upgrades/replacements on things, will I require another re-map ? (if so... £££ ?)
  9. Excellent write up, it puts my post to shame But we've got a very similar set up so I'd be really interested in hopping in your car to check out the noise from the HFC's. Here's my thread for ref: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/65249-hdev-dyno-beforeafter-modifications-uprevdecatspacer-etc/
  10. I'm pretty sure you remove everything from the surface if you're going to use EXO. Application instructions Perfect the surface to be coated Degrease the surface using silicon remover (panel wipe) Ensure the surface is >20C prior to application For gloss or hard non absorbent matte surfaces spray product onto a MF1 cloth, spread, remove residue with a second MF1 cloth and repeat 20 minutes later to the same area For absorbent finishes such as stone or fabric ensure surfaces are very dry and spray directly onto the surface using the mist setting ensuring full saturation Allow 48 hours for the coating to fully cure before wetting I'll consider doing it at a friends purpose built workshop in Sevenoaks but I think it wouldn't be advisable outside now.
  11. Good guide, I'll give this a go at some point as well, I just need to inspect a couple first of all. What is the average life expectancy of plugs ? (assuming plat's were used initially)
  12. Hey guys, So a few weeks ago I set off to Horsham Developments to take advantage of their October offer, and have a few bits done. Very nice guys if you've not been before, knowledgeable and efficient around the 350z My car is Leeroy's old one, a 2004 UK GT car, standard air filter, scorpion y-pipe back exhaust. Work done: UpRev H.Dev plenum spacer H.Dev de-cats (non-silenced) Belts Gearbox oil change (it was feeling notchy, nissan stuff popped in - sorted) The cars feels great after having those bits done, although I thought it would make a bit more power as the car has been well maintained, so I'd like to see if there are a few more bits I can do to help. I'll pop a new panel filter in, spark plugs and an oil change but I can't think of anything else at the moment. I noticed on another thread someone had a compression test done but I'm not sure if that will help narrow down what else I can do ? The ONLY thing I don't like is the Goose-hissâ„¢ like-sound from the decats at around 2-3k rpm when you're off the gas (changing gear typically). I know most people refer to it as 'rasp' but to me raspy exhausts sound like a ferrari v8, this isn't quite the same sound. I don't know if it's due to any of the pipes in the system being at differing diameters internally causing this ? Check this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gRQUdEpn48 However, once you're up to 4k and beyond it sounds ridiculous, in a good way But I may try another set of decat pipes, any suggestions are more than welcome.
  13. Jason, did you get it dyno'd again ? And if you had changed the plugs and fixed other little bits n pieces, would the numbers actually change or would that require remapping again ?
  14. Hey, hope all is going well for you ? I'll definitely post it up this evening once I'm home (dark ages of internet there though).
  15. I keep forgetting to put the photo's onto my computer at home so I can show the dyno results etc on a new thread. Let us know your thoughts once you've gotten the MOT sorted
  16. Terrifying How come so many cars have cameras installed ? (insurance thing?)
  17. Boring but not an eyesore at least.
  18. One of the cars I looked at had that weird smell as well. I noticed the chap put the aircon on at full blast initially, which I thought was to hide some noises but I realised it was just to try and clear the pong. TBH I thought his dog has pee'd in the car http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=220255
  19. Many thanks for getting back to me on this DannyBoy, it's much appreciated. I'd love to get it done in the new year, so hopefully by then you'll be in full swing and can do the swapsies thing. I have to say I'm not into the whole carbon fibre craze (unless it was OEM) but this looks very good indeed and would certainly improve the interior I think.
  20. 9.00 - dErZ (Chris) only if im not taking someone elses slot (originally there were only 6 slots) 9.30 - Tinyflier (David). Still OEM. Give me a benchmark before exhaust and Uprev in 2013. 10.00 Humpy 10.30 Kamamakazii (Elliott) 11.00 - smudgedon (Jordan) 11.30 Robert Cox (ThriftyFifty) 12.00 Chris Brooklands Kent 12.30 Theres always been ethel (Don) 1.00 Andy James. 21. That does look very good indeed, any images with it fitted back in the car yet ? In an ideal world it would be good to send the dash parts (etc) to you, and you send one out that has been done already. I presume the edges wouldn't get snagged and curl up like I'd imagine typical stick on kits would do ?
  22. Whichever way you think is going to be best, I guess some people could be late etc
  23. Thanks guys, I'd rather support traders/sponsors on here any day Any idea how much it should cost to have one painted ?
  24. Heh, will do - are they painted though ? (as I'm not sure how much it should cost to get done)
