  1. I'm on the cheap ones at the moment, I installed them on 02/05/2015, I'll inspect them tomorrow and sling some photo's up. I don't buy into the forum scaremongering until I've had a look, tested it myself. (of course, a fair bit of it is spot on and from experience - thus worth searching/asking)
  2. Cheers guys. Yep, it's the longevity which I'm certainly curious about. I guess if I really like the colour, then it'll possibly make sense to get them powder coated. It's pretty amazing stuff though, soo much can be done with it.
  3. So I wanted a darker, matte anthracite finish to my wheels, similar to what GT3's have as an option on their cars. I thought I'd try plastidip in this instance, partly as I thought well, if I don't like the colour I can just pull it off and try another shade, and also due to less prep work compared to painting. I used the proper US plastidip as the EU stuff isn't as good. 4 x coats of matte black (4 cans apx - order a couple more if you want to get the rear of the wheel) 2 x coats of thundercloud silver (2 cans) So to start with, a bit of kerb rash on some wheels, and in need of a total strip down refurb if being honest. I just cleaned them up as best as I could and dried them out. Part way through on the matte black: Coating of thundercloud: 2 x coats of thundercloud: Although I didn't, I'd advise flattening down any chips/rash as it's still visible otherwise. I wasn't bothered about a perfect finish but irrespective of that, I think they've turned out quite nice. We'll see how long they last, and I need to order a bit more (+ the thinner to do repairs) to do the door handles etc
  4. Can I just also say, I'd record the conversations you have with this person.
  5. I would just talk to him to find out what the problem is. Hopefully you can just settle it like adults (although he sounds like a mong child), just try and keep emotion out of it and stay as calm as possible.
  6. Rob, my mate has just been sorting out the paper work for the Murci SV (as he imported it), good to see you've gotten yours sorted but I think it could be a few weeks for him
  7. Let's do a locals Farnham meet Proof of residence will be required, or you'll be chased away with pitchforks
  8. I can only echo what Ian has said... Budget ? Use of car (track/drift/motorway/b-road) ? Budget ? er Budget ? £2k + = £6k + http://www.exe-tc.co.uk
  9. BTW, anyone on the fence about this - it's a worthy purchase, easy to install (the impact wrench speeds it up!) and you can instantly feel a difference.
  10. Yep, I would go for a carbon fibre one or wrap it. Definitely not metal but of course, this is tiny amount really. Just curious as to what they do.
  11. Couple of other blogs as well if you're interested: http://www.motoiq.com/ http://www.zcarblog.com/
  12. http://engineering.m...absrvd9cbnqnfl5 Interested to see what they do that hasn't already been done. Something to read at the very least
  13. I have the same feeling of 'fk off' when I safely overtake someone, and they flash me.. It's my decision, right or wrong and I'm responsible for my actions, I don't care for the other drivers opinion if it was ok or not - if you see what I mean.
  14. As much as she is a total and utter frigging plank for doing this (and yep, I hope she is bummed by the cops for this), I can't stand people (of zero authority, especially cyclists ) telling me/anyone what's right or wrong, this kind of stuff is encouraging the public to do police work. Essentially giving 'busy bodies' even more ammo.
  15. I'll get some pic's up on the weekend, I'm hopeful I can get it looking a bit tidier than it currently is (lots of gaffer tape ). Any pics PPod ?
  16. Cheers for doing the GB I had bought some tiger seal and had some left over 3M VHB tape, I did manage to make a bit of a mess of it (I didn't have a gun for the sealant - and forgot Screwfix is about 20 meters away ) but it seems like it's stuck on there now. I just need to get a couple of gaps stuck together. It's a fantastic looking lip, subtle but just adds a touch of sharpness at the front.
  17. Got my ones from here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/93635-bilstein-offer-for-b6-and-b8/ There was a wait but all good in the end. The US definitely don't have any kicking around, I've seen posts on the US site trying to source stuff.
  18. Stick to H-dev or TGM. (dont rate eurospec any more sadly)
  19. Yeah I'm hopeful that it's not ridiculously chunky but I've no idea what I like tbh (never tried any different steering wheels before) So thought sod it, try that.
  20. Cool man ,get some pics up when you can dude ,this is high on my list of things to do What spec did you go for ? Yep, I'll get some snaps up for sure (same as the first one just +4mm)
  21. A. (but spin it nicely) Same as going on dates, you don't want to explicitly say, yep I'm at it left right and centre but a wry smile, softly letting them know you are seeing others is a good thing. Option B is lame, in interviews and dates
  22. That sucks, doesn't sound like them to cheap out like that
