  1. They should arrive tomorrow, and I'll fit them some time this week. I'll sling up a before/after photo using the same manual settings on my camera, so it should be reasonably fair.
  2. AWESOME - thank you for the encouraging information ! I can understand about not wanting to make a switch 'just in case', although since I've now lost my heated driver seat, I may use that instead to do the switching on/off. Although I think I'll just try it out first like you by pulling the fuse. I know exactly what you mean about it doing very odd things to the car when going around the track, and I've noticed my rear pads have worn down a lot even though TC is turned off !
  3. I've not tried pulling the fuse yet but I'm tempted to make a toggle. I'll post a link to the thread I found a while back (once I've found it heh). Obviously I'll take it easy once it's disconnected but did you notice anything drastically different ?
  4. Awesome stuff, and respect for taking out a 700bhp car in the snow
  5. Loving the updates man, I hope to see you this year out on track. It's gone to a snails pace for me as I bought a place late last year. Have you done a toggle for ABS/SC yet ?
  6. I'm very keen to know a bit more about the headers as I'd like to do that as gearbox/clutch/diff heh. If you can get any photos of the collector, if it's one of those spiked ones, awesome! I presume they made rhd fitment for us?
  7. What have you done to the car already ? And how much track experience/time have you had so far ? Do some searching first, see what you think... For example: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/571151-tanabe-sustec-brace-vs-gt-spec-4-point-brace.html https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/236693-sways-front-lateral-rear-gt-brace-will-it-work.html Use the google search like this (just change the bold word to whatever you want): site:350z-uk.com brace site:my350z.com brace
  8. Yep, it's just depositing. Careful how you drive when coming into the pits and pulling up, they are usually still incredibly hot and this is when I guess it happens mostly. We went to Spa last year in the E92 M3, after a track day at Snett, and as we were approaching the hotel the brake judder was violently shaking the car. Predictably just before lunchtime and several laps they were fine
  9. I'd recommend getting those 3 things at the same time, skip a track day and spend the money. I'm not a track day hero either, whether you choose a baffled sump and/or a spacer (yes you can fit both), it's worth it. I did it one at a time but I should have just done it in one go, it's really easy to do (technically).
  10. Rob350: I use an oil pan spacer, which includes the pickup spacer as well as a 19 row cooler. You will get approximately 2ltrs more oil capacity, which is welcomed for track use (I'm trying to do 1 a month). Once I do the timing chain, I'll also update the oil pump to an 06 spec. Just make sure you always take some oil with you to the track and keep an eye on it.
  11. I'm more concerned with seeing where I'm going Upgrading to the DEPO lights is far too steep for me (as other more integral parts need sorting on my car) currently.
  12. https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72971-how-to-seat-airbag-resistor-for-aftermarket-seats/ Do that
  13. I'm looking at buying a set of these D2R Philips X-treme Vision 4800k (85126XV2C1 specifically), however I wondered if anyone else has used them ? I'm fed up of crappy lighting for dipped beam, and I'm hoping these would bring a decent upgrade to that. It's for the 2004 DE.
  14. Thanks for letting me know, I was hopeful that I had just missed a setting or option. It's not a complaint, just an observation that perhaps in the future could be considered as an option (I've no idea, it's complicated stuff). Ebized, I always end up using the google method too site:350z-uk.com forum site question The functions of the forum are vastly improved for sure !
  15. I wondered if I'm missing a trick here, and probably everyone else is used to this already if not but since I've been away a bunch since the update... When I'm looking at 'Unread Content' it's showing the last person who replied with their avatar image on the left. However most forums it's the thread starter that is shown first, and then who replied last off to the side somewhere (depending on the layout of course). Is there a way to set that (original posters avatar not the last person), my brain is finding it really confusing to see who started what Does that even make sense ?
  16. Just coming back to THIS subject again as I want to purchase some decent bulbs now. The ones you've mentioned must have changed because they are 2800lm now. https://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/85126WHVC1/xenon-whitevision-xenon-car-headlight-bulb/specifications Does anyone else have these, and are they bright ?
  17. Howdy ! It's been ages since I've really been on the forum (bought an apartment), I'm still not used to the look of it :/ Actually I'm happy running 2 sets of pads, I'll tell you why. I'm cheap Well more specifically, I don't want to wear down my track pads on the road. So if I had the RS29 pads (lot's of mates with GT3's have used them for yonks now), I'd do exactly the same thing and just sling them on when required. I know it's a great pad, although I'm still likely to go with the CL6 pads for my next set. Also the brake fluid was disgusting when I changed it just after those photo's. I wonder if the fluid was already cooked, and the weird transfer was something to do with that too ? I need to catch up on your thread too, I'm lost !
  18. I completely forgot to reply to this, apologies ! So I'm still using the pads and discs, and several months on I can only say that these are indeed great pads for the road. I've not suffered any issues whatsoever. Secondly, the problem I posted above - well that fixed itself after another track day ! I'll upload a photo from back in July later tonight (if I remember). Once I get a chance I'll try to measure them, most likely when I do another track day and switch over to the CL pads. If anyone else has any thoughts on them, do chip in.
  19. Any takers on this, as I think I'll do this over winter anyway.
  20. Well it's not the seatbelt warning light, as I soldered the resistor in today as shown here: So my next guess is one of the wheel speed sensors, it seems to happen (iirc) when turning right, I'm not sure if that gives a clue as to which one it could be though. And it feels like it's nipping the rear brakes.
  21. I did say it a few times mate Glad to see you offering this, well kind of
  22. I have them on the rear but something is up with my TC, once it's turned off however they do feel great to me
  23. I believe my front Brembo's need the seal kit, front right does creak a bit when applying the brakes at very low speeds. However, I just wondered what happens when the seals are old and perished, what actually happens ? Secondly what grease do you use for the seals ? The FSM says "Do not use Nissan rubber grease". 'Do not use Nissan Rubber Grease (KRE00 00010, KRE00 00010 01) when assembling' 'Apply polyglycol ether based lubricant to the piston seal' If you want the guide it's here (he uses brake fluid to lube the seals though): https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension-diy/402581-diy-brembo-rebuild-kit-seals-dust-boot.html
