Hi Wayne The nano stuff from "the Wolf" seems to be selling like hot cakes especially the Body Wrap. What were you using before on the Volks and how does it compare to the Wolf's? How would you rate the cleaning capabilities of this new sealant? ie does the applicator show up a lot of grime that's been cleaned off the paint?....... your Volk's probably don't go long enough between paint cleansing to show any dirt

Week 5 Still cleaning up easily with a gentle wipe of a MF under a slow trickle of water from a hose. Beading on the spokes is tight. Still beading on the polished rim.....but not as tight. Probably gets more of a bashing from the brake dust here. AND BEFORE ANY CLEVER CLOGS GET EXITED.......I KNOW......I MISSED A SPOT ON ONE OF THE SPOKES

I'd be very interested as i've read alot of good stuff about GTechnic on detailing world. About to order some C4 myself. I was a little apprehensive about their paint sealant due to it being so tough it has to be machined off if you mess it up. I might order the C5 next if you give it the thumbs up

For years I have used wax or sealant more frequently on my alloys than the bodywork, sometimes as often as twice a month in winter. Thus I have never found the need to use anything but regular bodywork shampoo to wash the rims. Chemical Guys wheel guard has been my weapon of choice as it contains cleansers negating the need for claying or dedicated paint cleansers when used regularly. As I am nearing the end of the tub I thought I'd test it's durability a bit more. I last applied it to my 4yr old LMGT-4s 4 weeks ago on my daily driver zed. Each week I wash them using WATER ONLY, hosing gently using a mf cloth for gentle agitation simultaneously. Week 1. Still very slick finish. Hardly any agitation required. Week 2. Similar to week 1 Week 3. Slickness decreased but still cleaning up easily with good beading. Week 4. Needing to agitate a bit more around nooks and krannies around spokes. Still beading well with the face and rim spotless. Rougher surface of wheel backs/inners now picking up a tinge of brown stain that is not shifting with the water and mf. By using only water I hope to get the most out of the sealant durability wise. It also halves my cleaning time. Don't reckon you could get much gentler cleansing regime for the rims either. I will try to upload pics this weekend.

Sorry, in my opinion I wouldn't put those rims on MY zed THEY'D STAY IN MY LOUNGE...so I could constantly gaze at them, carress them, feel the cool smooth lips with my fingertips Not jealous in the slightest

Washing machine packed up. Ordered new one from John Lewis including delivery and removal of old one. Workman pulled old one from under worktop but couldn't unplug it as it was plugged in behind the dryer. He said he didn't have time for all this messing, produced a stanly knife and said "you'll have to install the new one yourself.........I'll CUT THE CABLE so that I can take the old one away" The numpty even looked pi**ed when I said "YOU HAVING A LAUGH......YOU CAN'T DO THAT" until I pointed out cable was LIVE. Dread to think what would have happened if I was out and the miss us just left him to it

In 2008 the missus picked up a bad chip on the windscreen the size of a pea. Autoglass repaired it so the surface was smooth despite a circular defect still visible. Today her car failed the MOT due to a dipped defect over the chip where the resin must have worn away. The document I was given after the repair stated the repair was garanteed for life as long I owned the car and gave a customer service number should I have future probs. I duely rang the number and gave the job number etc explaining I needed a new repair as the old one was now failing MOT standards. "Has a crack propagated from the chip sir?" "NO" "Well the repair hasn't failed then" "BUT MY CAR WON'T PASS WITH A DENT OVER THE CHIP" "Well we don't guarantee the repair to pass the MOT....only against crack formation" "SO I CAN'T PASS AN MOT BUT I CAN SLEEP EASY KNOWING THIS GARANTEE IS FOR AS LONG I OWN THE CAR?" "Yes sir.....for as long as you own the car, if it turns to a crack we will remedy the situation under warranty" Decided to bypass customer service and go to the local depot instead where a reasonable bloke just spent 5min adding some resin over the top removing the defect. COMMON SENSE STILL EXISTS THANK GOD

An 03 sunset coupe in the garage car park this afternoon.

My wife is with esure. She currently has a 56plate mini cooper and is picking up a new car. When i rang esure to arrange extra short term insurance on the mini while we try to sell it they only quoted an extra £67 for a month in addition to a £25 admin fee to switch the main policy to her new car(premium the same as the mini so no surcharge) Your insurer sounds like he's taking the peepee.

My LMGT4's have gone through 3 winters now and zed is my daily driver. I have only ever used car shampoo and water to rinse. However, I use a cleaner/sealant (wheelgaurd by chemical brothers) every month. In fact the rims get more pampering than the bodywork In my opinion the cleansers in the all in one products are very mild compared to bilberry but if used regularly on well maintained rims you'd probably get away with just cleaning with water and a micro fibre cloth

Cats like warm 350Z bonnets but hate sitting on wet ones. Ever noticed how a well waxed bonnet stays wet with tight water beads well after other cars and the ground is dry? Keep a spray bottle with purified water. On parking up, a good spray to cover hood with water (a bottle is no good coz water will run off and leave bonnet dry). Bat soon gets the message 350Z bonnet equals WET BOTTOM

Had some trouble about 6 years back in the neighboruring Lithuania. 12 of us on a stag holiday. A real ethnic mix of white black and Asian and me the token oriental We were out in 2 limos and asked the drivers to recommend a club that played hip hop/RnB. Got dropped at said club and told that we could call taxis home from the club. Towards the end of the night one of the black guys complained one of the locals was kicking off. Apparently the local deliberately barged into him at the bar and wouldn't stop ranting. To try to calm things down we got the barman to convey appologies for any misunderstandings and buy the guy and his 3 mates a drink. Saw them scowling at us, all on their mobiles so we decided to round up the troops to make sure we all left together. Tried informing the security and calling cabs but they wouldn't help and couldn't turf us out quick enough saying "all fighting outside" As we were bundled out and the doors locked all we saw was a carpark full of yobs shouting racist chants Had to walk between them to get out and then they STARTED Luckily the fight led towards a narrow street where their numbers didn't give them an advantage and none of them were tooled up. Just cuts and bruises on our side but could of been so much worse .

Very jealous. Not been able to wash my zed since the Krispy Kreme meet. Love the location by the gates. Looks nice and secluded. I always get a bit bashful taking pics of my car in public if I'm on my tod If I manage to get up I'm planning to do mine at sunrise before my toddler wakes up. Sucks when the weather is so good and the zed is hiding under a layer of grime.

This reminds me of the petrol crisis around 10 yrs ago when pumps ran dry and the roads were like a scene from MadMax. I remember trying to coast the last two bends to my driveway to the extent I barely needed to touch the brakes as I parked up Fun challenge at first, but required soooo much concentration and planning to not hit a red light or have to brake too suddenly. Kinda like planning out a big snooker break.......hope we never face that again
