Changing from a 1.6 golf to a Zed will give you a monumental buzz. You'll feel as though the car's running on "DILITHIUM CRYSTALS"
-
Welcome aboard. Always had a soft spot for the 300zx so pics are always welcome

A recurring annoyance for me are groups of cyclists riding in clusters upto 3 side by side Usually adorned in their club Lycra suits cruising rather than racing holding up traffic. GODDAMN POSERS.

I got the one that you're meant to dilute and pour over the car. Diluted it 1:4 to use like the spray version, but not sure if it's the same stuff but just a different concentration. As an insider do you know if it is the same concentration as the spray?

I had the same problem. Tried all the deleting cookies etc.......no joy. Now I go to " in private " browsing and visit the forum from here Result

HEADPHONES replied to brown7758's topic in Zeds For Sale
Hope you get a good price. Current zed values bring a tear to my eye. SO MUCH SHOW AND GO......FOR SO LITTLE DOUGH -

Was on the motorway and saw a red Ferrari 360 Modena rapidly coming up behind in my rearview. I moved swiftly back into the slow lane only to see it was a stretched limo version about 3car lengths long Imagine trying to party in the back of that Only person going to have a wild time in that is Snow White with her 7 dwarfs Some may say it's just proving what CAN be done but like Chris Rock once said "just coz you drive a car with your feet.....don't make it right!"

Just come back from a few days in the Lake District. Drove around some lovely country roads where the speed limit was either 50 or national speed limit. Would have been great if I knew the roads and it was closed off JUST FOR ME (one can dream ) but with so many blind bends, dips and crests with their hidden blind spots I struggled to go around 30 without worrying about some oncoming twonk straying onto my lane when cornering. Even reckon I may have gone airborne at 50 going over some of the crests I know 50 was the LIMIT and not the TARGET but does anyone else find it strange that it is so high here where there is just the odd cottage but as soon as there are a cluster of cottages on a STRAIGHT road double the width the limit goes down to 30 Maybe I'm just a woos and you lot would overtake me even driving a tractor

When I ordered my zed in 05 I declined the 18" RAYS as I also preferred the look of the standard 18s. I still enjoy my zed but haven't experienced lighter wheels. In 08 I finally purchased some RAYS.......but the 19" LMGT-4 variant. Apparently these are about the same weight as my standard 18s so I'm still none the wiser Still got my pristine original 18s coz I still think they're gorgeous and suit my V1 kitted zed better than the 18" RAYS.

Prisons full. Like i said before, shift the prisons or outsource them like all the factories to China. Cheaper for us, greater deterent for scumbags. Let them do hard labour there too to earn money for a SLOWW BOAT back. If they try to escape they would stand out a mile and best have a good grasp of Mandarin

Well, after work today I was meant to drive through Manchester shopping before going to the leisure centre. Passed a Westway Nissan.......forecourt emptied for security. Proceeded to a retail park in Ancoats........Deserted, all closed early. Took it as an omen and went home.........just before things kicked off thank god! We all know prisons are costly and overpopulated. Like other businesses they should contract the work overseas for these thugs. Make it known that all offenders will be serving their sentences in the middle east, Russia, Mexico etc. Cheaper for the taxpayer. Help the economies of poorer countries. I for one would be crapping myself at such a sentence.

There's a thread somewhere where quite a few of us have done polishing of surface oxidation using MEGS NXT METAL POLISH. Did mine on the recommendation by hand using this and a MF cloth. No sanding needed. No swirls.

If you know anyone who could get to Costco for you there is Mobil 1 0w40 for about £30 for 5litres.

What benefits from head unit change + dab
HEADPHONES replied to Adam rs's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Some head units are "DAB READY" but only offer the user interface and require a separate DAB unit. A lot of the older JVC models are like this. Newer ones are all in one units. All will most certainly need a new DAB aerial. These can be either be the stick on the inside of the inside of the windscreen ones or external ones (may need drilling ) I went for a single din one with the stick on aerial and find I actually listen to radio a lot more due to the wider selection of stations -
Thanks to all your advice the decision as to which metal polish should replace my empty tube of autosol was easy. Got the Megs metal polish today. Just finished polishing passenger side headlight. Took a while by hand but no swirls and came up a treat. Passenger side catches the afternoon sun and was twice as bad as driver side, but now looks 100x better than driver side. In 10 years time when I finish the tub of Megs I'll know where to look for advice on a replacement

Will miss seeing your posts and pics when you finally sell. Hope the new owner continues to give the zed the care it deserves. YOU SHOULD MAKE MEMBERSHIP ON HERE A MANDATORY CONDITION IN THE SALE

You chose the wrong smilie.......... not ........should've gone to specsavers JUST TEASING MATE Really chuffed for you. I remember my first day with my zed. Drove around in it for hours and didn't want to go home

Took a pic yesturday after cleaning the wheels. Brake dust is still coming off needing no more than gentle agitation with a MF under a running hose. Still beading as can be seen 2 months after sealing. Bored now and also going through withdrawal symptoms not waxing/sealing my Nismos. So in conclusion I reckon Chemical Guys wheel Gaurd is OK for at least a couple months. No need for any harsh wheel cleaning solution with regular washing (if all i used was water, shampoo is more than adequate).

I know how you feel kevlo. I was detailing my sunset one time and guy and his girlfriend walk past. "Nice car........sh$t colour though" I mean WTF Maybe it's a detailing induced response
-
I reckon it would be OK for regular use on lightly soiled cars that already have some fresh protection on the paint negating the need for hard/aggressive scrubbing. If I had some I would test it on a blank CD in the following steps 1. Leave garden furniture or similar item outside for few weeks along with blank CD 2. Use it on dirty garden furniture with a dusting of fine sand to boot. 3. Using the soiled cleaning cloth then clean the CD HINT HINT to all those who already own it I don't think even the manufacturer intended it to be used as aggressively as the bloke in the vid racing to finish the filthy car in record time

What's the CD test mate? I did think some of these clothes were a bit harsh on the edges. Not tried the Costco ones yet, might have to get down there. CDs are easily scratched so to test the abrasiveness of detailing cloths some suggest wiping a CD first in the same way as you would dry or buff your paint. The Costco MF was fine but the thread bound edging was a bit harsher an did leave fine scratches on the CDs surface as would many other cloths that have edges bound by stitching.
