  1. I feel your pain Chris.......literally! From what you posted you seem to suspect either the stopping cycling or the zed as the cause. Hopefully gradually getting active again will give you the relief. If not I hope a seat change is all you need. I kept putting off a visit to the doctor for my back pain but thankfully it's 99% gone this past year. At it's worst i couldn't sleep without ibuprofen and once it took me 20 min to get out of my seat at the cinema so I can kind of sympathise. All started after a long break from excercise then training and stretching too hard too fast. A long course of ibuprofen and gradually excercising again shifted it. Short doses and it would go........I'd train too hard and pain crept back and so it would yoyo back and forth. So try to get back into training gradually and gently. I still feel it start to creep back if I go a week of inactivity where it aches all day but strangely disappears after going training. Really hope the zed isn't to blame as your journey to obtaining your dream zed has been such a long and committed one.
  2. A friend of mine owns a tyre fitting place a said he had a guy come in with his GTR who was showing him his LPG conversion. I would have thought if you could afford to run a GTR properly fuel would not be that much of an issue. Do you guys reckon it would impact on the performance? Deffo reckon it would affect resale value. All I could say when he first told me was WTF!
  3. Who on earth would buy these? Even bigger question is who would authorise their production http://www.mcwheels.co/m-collection/11/Masks
  4. I used to go to Westway Stockport. In 07 when my zed was 2 yrs old, I took it to Stockport where I bought it new and serviced it. The rear bumper had warped slightly. The manager promised they would try and repair it but if unsuccessful source me a new one. Alas after 3 attempts no joy. They then denied that a new one was offered as the old manager had left and I had nothing in writing. Not been back since so things could be ok now. BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING OR EMAIL
  5. Was in my sunset as I passed by on the M60. The M60 has turned my sunset black.........hate motorways during gritting season!
  6. Can't help you on this but have a BUMP to see if others can
  7. Those roads look scary. What happens as the snow thaws and possibly collapses. That's a whole heap of snow to possibly fall onto the road/cars and if it does fall, where do you shift it to. Side of the road is a few meters of snow high as it is.
  8. viewtopic.php?f=61&t=20281. Loads of nice wheels to choose from here........too many to choose from Welcome back to the Jap side
  9. This morning was quite mild in Manchester. No frost on the cars etc, but heavy snow now. You were lucky to get a good wash in before the snow. I managed a simple wsh on our other car. Got as far as a wash and sealant on the zed's rims before it got so cold even the warm shampoo was freezing on the zed so didn't carry on with washing the body.
  10. I was browsing detailing world and found it interesting that in 2006 there were only 200 members but now nearly 50,000. This leads me to wonder Who were the FOUNDING FATHERS of our beloved OC and how many of the original crew are still active members/owners?
  11. Were the 3 dents "parking ding" type dents and would you say the repair was invisable on completion? My friend's brother in law does this service, massaging the dings out from behind the panel with an assortment of long ball ended rods. Quite an art to it. He payed some "MR MIYAGI" type guy to train him up until he had attained "zen" in said art Since he split with my friends sister he is no longer an option for ding repairs so it's nice to know there is a local service should i need it.
  12. Hope your head don't hurt too much tomorrow after your celebrations today
  13. I have had the O2 sensors throw up a warning light about 4 times in my 6 yrs of ownership. The last time was only a few weeks ago. ECU was reset by the garage and not a peep since. I read the code myself but took it to the garage to confirm. Next time I will reset myself and save £35 and the hassle of going to a garage.
  14. I did a search years ago before I bought my 19" NISMOs and they weigh the same as the standard 18s that come with a zed (not the Rays)
  15. How I envy you.........a Z at 19. I was still on "foot patrol" at 19 with the only rubber being burnt was the soles of my trainers Welcome to Zed ownership. I'm sure you won't be disappointed
  16. Always nice to see another well cared for sunset
  17. Welcome to th OC. Where you based?
  18. Hi MattG. Really sorry to hear of your poor service at L&G but thanks for posting up as it will make me supply my own diff/gear oil when I come to letting them replace it. Just goes to show that a place's rep is so dependant on consciencious mechanics working there. I know there are a few mechanics working there so I hope I'm not unlucky and get the same careless one when I go. Everyone can make mistakes but it seems you got landed with a wave of blunders. Let's just hope at best, guy responsible no longer works there......or at least got an earful for his laziness and has pulled his socks up. ps I feel a bit bad coz when I went to TRILOGY on your recommendation I was extremely happy with his service re ICE fitting and I was one of the many who have recommended L&G.
  19. Got an e-mail from Adrian Flux for auto renewal of my 350z insurance. Downloaded the policy details and the quote goes...... "This is just a quick note to tell you we are renewing the insurance on your vehicle for the next year........The amount will be £ 31.06 (including £30 policy issue fee)" So in effect I'm only really paying £1.06 When other insurance companies advertise they will beat or match ANY renewal quote do you think I can get any cheaper ?
