  1. Can't beat birthday weekends......happy birthday
  2. Ooooo....not seen anything like that before. Tell us more
  3. http://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-driv ... -info.html ALOT of info here.......TOOO MUCH IN FACT!
  4. Hope all goes well and we see some pics of your zed in the intro section
  5. There's only 2 things stopping me getting these......... The police pulling me AND GETTING FLAMED TO DEATH BY ALL YOU GUYS
  6. Did they not replace it for you? Did they charge you? The guys said that if the light stays off new sensor not needed. Charged me £33. I didn't expect it for free as they are trying to make a living. Being not that clued up about O2 sensors I thought it wiser to visit a garage than just reset myself letting damage go undetected. But if this the accepted protocol by you fellow zedders I will try a reset myself first if this happens in years to come.
  7. OK. Went Costco today for some groceries and checked their oil stocks. Castrol Edge was 5w40. For those with steads requiring a cheaper oil they had magnetec 5w30 for under £20 for 4l. 20% discount ends on the 20th
  8. Saw your azure parked right opposite the entrance looking spotless They checked my zed and confirmed the O2 sensor causing code 1147 to be displayed. They cleared it and ran it. No CEL warnings so let me on my way. All good so far
  9. see you at L&G then, mines in for a service I am due at L&G around 1.30pm as long as I don't break down on the way . So I might see you there depending on how long it takes for them to verify the fault code and come up with a plan for me to return for repairs.
  10. Funniest comment i ever got was when i forgot to top up the parking meter. Came back to my sunset orange coupe to see a ticket. MAKE-NISSAN MODEL-350Z COLOUR............UNKNOWN!
  11. Many thanks for the reply. I was imagining all sorts on the drive home.....engine running lean, pinking etc......and I don't even know what these terms really mean suffice to say I worried about engine damage of some sort
  12. This a very very special/lucky date in the Chinese calendar Congrats to the lucky couple
  13. Firstly, many thanks to all who have posted all the info on the forum. From the list of codes to the "secret handshake pedal manoeuvre" After a spirited exit from a roundabout the slip light blinked and then the dreaded engine light came on Engine was well warmed up at the time and all fluids at correct levels. Drove home keeping revs below 2k . Got the CEL flashing the following sequence ....147114711471..... Checking the list I assume it's 1147 heated O2 sensor 2. SO THE BIG QUESTION IS....IS IT OK TO DRIVE UNTIL IT'S FRIDAY APPOINTMENT AT THE GARAGE?
  14. Just seen a Costco leaflet. One of the sale items is Castrol Edge fully synthetic oil at £23.02 incl VAT for 4l. Offer ends 20/11/11. Not sure about the range of viscosity they stock but the price is one of the lowest I've seen on this oil. If I visit Costco I will post up what viscosity they stock.
  15. Lockwood and Greenwood are good with zeds. Audenshaw Manchester M34 5PT Alot of members use them.
  16. Saw this on another forum http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=236873
  17. 1. My sunset orange paint glowing at night under streetlights and in the day on a sunny day. 2. Hate how sunset orange looks on an overcast day......like pollen or mustard
  18. My mate phoned me and said recently he cries each time after having sex .......HE IS IN PRISON THOUGH
  19. Not 100% sure but i think its along the passenger door sill or thereabouts....i think
  20. Hi Stan I need some time management tips off you. I don't even seem to be able to even squeeze in a car wash these days with my toddler demanding all my attention. My non petrol head friends say JUST LET HER JOIN IN AND HELP DETAIL YOUR ZED
  21. I drive past a E46 coupe on BBS LMs (or replicas at least) on the way to work. They sure are gorgeous rims If you do get them PICS A PLENTY PLEASE!
  22. I must admit I didn't fall in love with the zed at first sight on release. However, after seeing some with just a mild drop and spacers opened my eyes. On seeing a Nismo V1 kitted zed in EVO magazine I just had to have one. SO IN THIS CASE I WOULD HAVE TO DISAGREE. Visually the zed does look better with a little fettling even if just spacers and a drop IMHO
  23. On a serious note.......these midget jokes are dangerous. I was in Tescos a while back telling a mate a midget joke on the phone. Finished the call, put the phone away. Glanced behind me. THERE'S ONLY A BLEEDING MIDGET IN THE QUEUE RIGHT BEHIND ME In a millisecond had to decide best tactic for damage limitation. CARRIED ON LOOKING AROUND BEHIND OVER HIS HEAD AS IF I DIDN'T SEE HIM DOWN THERE! I think that probably added insult to injury. Spent the next few days looking over my shoulder (and down a bit ) in case the midget in question came looking for revenge . All a true story. I kid you not.
  24. Imagine if you were stoned and saw this guy doing his thing for real Almost seems too awesome to be real.
  25. Depreciation is a b!tch. When cars of this calibre are deemed worth so little it is criminal. I just hope it doesn't get to the stage where a fully loaded zed drops in price to the extent where the buyer in effect pays full price for it's Volks and bodykit and gets the Zed for free Whatever your decision Chris, I hope you get your "MOTORING MOJO" back.
