  1. My wife is with esure. She currently has a 56plate mini cooper and is picking up a new car. When i rang esure to arrange extra short term insurance on the mini while we try to sell it they only quoted an extra £67 for a month in addition to a £25 admin fee to switch the main policy to her new car(premium the same as the mini so no surcharge) Your insurer sounds like he's taking the peepee.
  2. My LMGT4's have gone through 3 winters now and zed is my daily driver. I have only ever used car shampoo and water to rinse. However, I use a cleaner/sealant (wheelgaurd by chemical brothers) every month. In fact the rims get more pampering than the bodywork In my opinion the cleansers in the all in one products are very mild compared to bilberry but if used regularly on well maintained rims you'd probably get away with just cleaning with water and a micro fibre cloth
  3. My 2 1/2 yr old tells people "Dada's car goes RRRRRAAAA.....LIKE A LION " Bless
  4. Cats like warm 350Z bonnets but hate sitting on wet ones. Ever noticed how a well waxed bonnet stays wet with tight water beads well after other cars and the ground is dry? Keep a spray bottle with purified water. On parking up, a good spray to cover hood with water (a bottle is no good coz water will run off and leave bonnet dry). Bat soon gets the message 350Z bonnet equals WET BOTTOM
  5. That's the first time I've watched snow foam in action. Looks very therapeutic Good vid
  6. The arches on zed's give fantastic reflections when detailed as yours show
  7. 50/50 shots look immense
  8. Had some trouble about 6 years back in the neighboruring Lithuania. 12 of us on a stag holiday. A real ethnic mix of white black and Asian and me the token oriental We were out in 2 limos and asked the drivers to recommend a club that played hip hop/RnB. Got dropped at said club and told that we could call taxis home from the club. Towards the end of the night one of the black guys complained one of the locals was kicking off. Apparently the local deliberately barged into him at the bar and wouldn't stop ranting. To try to calm things down we got the barman to convey appologies for any misunderstandings and buy the guy and his 3 mates a drink. Saw them scowling at us, all on their mobiles so we decided to round up the troops to make sure we all left together. Tried informing the security and calling cabs but they wouldn't help and couldn't turf us out quick enough saying "all fighting outside" As we were bundled out and the doors locked all we saw was a carpark full of yobs shouting racist chants Had to walk between them to get out and then they STARTED Luckily the fight led towards a narrow street where their numbers didn't give them an advantage and none of them were tooled up. Just cuts and bruises on our side but could of been so much worse .
  9. I love the way cars look extra low on grass So go on, spill the beans, how early did you manage to crawl out of bed that day?
  10. Very jealous. Not been able to wash my zed since the Krispy Kreme meet. Love the location by the gates. Looks nice and secluded. I always get a bit bashful taking pics of my car in public if I'm on my tod If I manage to get up I'm planning to do mine at sunrise before my toddler wakes up. Sucks when the weather is so good and the zed is hiding under a layer of grime.
  11. This reminds me of the petrol crisis around 10 yrs ago when pumps ran dry and the roads were like a scene from MadMax. I remember trying to coast the last two bends to my driveway to the extent I barely needed to touch the brakes as I parked up Fun challenge at first, but required soooo much concentration and planning to not hit a red light or have to brake too suddenly. Kinda like planning out a big snooker break.......hope we never face that again
  12. I've often heard of the Zed being referred to as a bit "overweight" With no rear seats to add weight, is it just the engine itself that adds the LARD, or is the rear strut made of double density lead As you can see I have a very simplistic view on the topic but have always wondered why some consider the Zed to be Lardy
  13. Another L&G loyal customer here Plenty of customer parking space too. Nothing worse than leaving your car in a cramped car park with tight spaces and worrying about other inconsiderate customers dinging your zed Despite being an independent garage now, they still have their old Nissan stamps so your service book will have "pretty Nissan" stamps in it to boot
  14. That was hilarious
  15. A few years ago drove from Manchester to London. Just as I unloaded the Zed got a call from alarm monitoring company.....someone had broke in via back patio door Drove straight back to find no sign of forced entry. I always blamed the fitter for selling on copies of my keys but maybe I got "bumped"
  16. Been reading about "bump keys" Any cylinder lock can be opened with a bump key in under 5 sec From uPVC style barrels to padlocks. Someone could come in get your stuff/Z keys etc with no sign of forced entry. Insurance co. would claim you forgot to lockup http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... wTVBWCijEQ http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... nrWqjgjFL0 Ordered a product called pick buster from QVC as a hopeful solution http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/ ... tem.558204 Anyone else got more knowledge on this evil?
  17. Most of my family are based in KL and the tax on luxury cars is insane. Even a Honda civic is a status symbol over there Crazy thing is the same tax applies to bringing 2nd hand cars in. My dad retired and wanted to take his 10 yr old Mazda 626 back to Malaysia. Car was worth about £700 in UK but they wanted £8000 import tax just to bring it in Worked out cheaper for him to buy a brand new Malaysian built car fully loaded
  18. 5th and last ones are my favs. Reflections on the bonnet in the 5th one are crazy and the last pose just sets her off a treat
  19. You got mad skills. In your past life were you a member of the A-Team
  20. Bluetooth adaptors and waseem brings back a chuckle or two Can't find the original thread, but it did end up getting a bit harsh on poor waseem FUNNIEST THREAD I'VE READ THOUGH
  21. Having a crash at motorway speeds must be scary as hell!
  22. Do you find the 1st CD you loaded in your zed on collection day now triggers a surge of "happy hormones" as it brings back memories of that glorious occasion On one fine day in Aug '05 it was Missy Elliot: the cookbook that supplied the tunes while I spent the whole day feeding a tank of Shell's finest through my beloved Zed's internals. Not my favourite album by any means but one that now has a special place in my collection
  23. Not heard of a Manchester fitter but I think a few NW members have used CS and said the work was good. I don't think it is too far from Manchester
  24. Now aren't you glad you didn't settle for a diesel repmobile to handle the commute to work Nomatter how hard a day you've had at work you can sit back in your Nismo'd SANCTUARY, grab that momo wheel and let your stresses fade to the sweet music bellowing from your Nismo pipes Really pleased how things have worked out for you and can't wait to see you and your zed again in the flesh
