  1. Final pic showing the paint after rinsing thoroughly and drying. I repeated the process twice and left to dwell about 5 mins each time as my paint was PEPPERRED. The car was bought new in 06, always washed with 2BM using MF mitts and towels. Clayed twice a year and treated with SRP, Gloss Gaurd and collinite but still succumbed to "yellow acne" Seeing this work rates up there with seeing clay and Tardis work for the first time. Saying that I've not seen the same yellow spots on my sunset 350z in 5 yrs of ownership but when i have time I'll try it on the 350z to see if any PURPLE runs off
  2. Finally used the AQuartz iron cut today. Attached 3 pics showing paint after a wash. After spraying on the product it reacts with bonded iron particles turning purple. After dwelling for a few mins you can see it running off the paint.
  3. I had this problem last weekend. They layed new tarmac near work. Some kind cat with tarred feet walked all over my car. Big thick pawprints Clay wouldn't shift the really thick bits. Soften with WD40, wiped, then clayed residue. Paint felt like glass but still marks left. Used an AIO sealant/cleanser (Carlack NSC) and the jobs a goodun So a combination of all the recomendations worked for me.
  4. I have been using Chemical Guys Wheel Gaurd for past 3 years. Used once a month or so. Only ever use regular shampoo to wash the rims. I like the fact it has cleansing properties. Used Collinite and TW Gloss Gaurd previousely which protected but didn't cleanse. Consistancy is like a cream, so easier to apply than a wax but slower than a watery liquid like Goss Gaurd. Easy to buff off.
  5. Oh well, that was a quick contest.........don't think anyone can go lower than 0.2 let alone ZERO
  6. Come on guys'ngals. Own up..........WHO HAS THE HEAVIEST RIGHT FOOT. My size 9s weigh in at a conservative 19mpg this past year
  7. The kit on your zed is spot on Looks real menacing and purposeful without being OTT. First time I've seen that kit. You must be very happy.

Love the telephone dial alloys too If only British roads were just as wide. Seems everyone's parking 8inches away from the curb........probably really para about kerbing now
  9. My deepest sympathies to Ian's family. I first met Ian in March this year when he came to Manchester Krispy Kremes with his other car club from Stoke offering an open invitation to 350z owners. Despite being the only outsider that attended he made me feel really welcome. Such a friendly bloke with a personality anyone would find hard not to like. Still can't believe or take this news in.
  10. Chris, who would have thought a promotion would bring so many headaches It's nice to have the options though For me my situation was the opposite. Baby came and wife had a mini and me a zed. That meant the mini is my weekend car and only really use the zed to and from work But the zed is my only oasis of sanity. Work is hard and long, and save the weekends for family. Love the kid to bits but no more socialising, no going training, home cinema/stereo always on ultra low vol, even detailing the zed at night now using halogens on the drive What I'm getting at is if your gonna be working and driving long and hard, a diesal may leave a few grand in your pocket but you'd be spending hours sitting in a car pining for a zed. Alot of driving means spending MORE OF YOUR LIFE IN A CAR so surely the zed choice would be even better "value" in the "pound per wear" sense. You even told me you missed your in car sounds and didn't put anything decent in the fiesta as it didn't deserve it. GET THE ZED, GET THE I.C.E, ENJOY YOUR COMMUTE. ZEDS ENRICH YOUR LIFE
  11. I got a JVC DAB single din unit......love it to bits. See my original thread for pics etc viewtopic.php?f=27&t=37876&hilit=bose
  12. We're talking Manchester city centre in rush hour traffic
  13. Was driving to work today and saw a cyclist towing what appeared to be a pram on two wheels. Went home and googled them. http://www.richardsonsonline.co.uk/acc_ ... %20Trailer Advert says TOUGH steel construction/ wrap around bumper for SAFETY I got goosebumps just thinking of the horrific accidents that could occur. So many daydreaming motorists don't even spot cyclists in their mirrors let alone a buggy below waist height being towed by a cyclist. Makes the worries that zed owners have about carrying babyseats pale into insignificance.
  14. Vaseline sounds a bit risky. If it can deteriorate the rubber in JIMMY HATS not sure how it reacts to door seels
  15. Brings back bitter sweet memories of my youth. All my mates had a chopper one summer. My dad didn't get with the programme . I had to follow my mates by running waaaaaay behind. To make matters worse, in the old days parents made kids wear SANDLES in the summer But alls well that ends well........ now they'd have to follow waaaay behind me in my Zed
  16. Ever get yellow spots ingrained onto the rear of the car? I've been plagued by this for years with my white mini. Claying for ages would only reduce it by 80%. Found out on detailing world it's metal fallout/brake dust RUSTING INTO THE PAINT Just recieved an order of Iron Cut by AQuartz. Hopefully get a personal review up soon but for now here's one by a detailing world guru http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... ht=AQuartz
  17. Lovely addition to your car collection. Is it more baby friendly than a zed regarding deactivating the passenger airbag?
  18. Most of my close friends from my teens and I train in various styles. Some TKD, a couple southern praying mantis, kung fu, kickboxing etc. A few years ago we went on a stag do to Lithuania and to cut a long story short the night ended with us leaving a club with about 20-30 locals waiting outside who had a disliking to "non caucasians" We numbered 11, and 7 of us train. Once we got home and reflected, despite all the different styles, under these circumstances we all fought a similar fight to escape. Simple hand techniques, with only 2 kicks thrown between us. The non trained friends lacked the "calm/awareness" of the rest ( I remember one of the locals would tug at his jeans before throwing a kick ) often rushing in at the wrong time at the wrong groups of yobs to get knocked down. I remember dragging one friend off a yob he had ended up ontop of moments before a couple of locals rushed him from behind. Despite 20yrs training at the time, I didn't have that natural "killer streak" like some of my mates to really "damage" some of the attackers but was calm enough see what was happening not just to me but to "back up" others that ended up on the ground. Also getting hit alot in training means you're not phased as much by glancing blows in reality. Can't comment on how it would have been in a 1 to 1 as I'm lucky enough to never have been in a real 1 to 1 encounter
  19. http://www.tayna.co.uk/Type-005L-Varta- ... P3210.html You need one of these. Haven't used this seller......just for illustration
  20. Despite seeing zeds all the time, you just gotta love those lines esp the arches Great specimen you have there
  21. Now many of us get p$ssed when we park our zeds in an empty car park and return to find some numpty parked right next to us. Today i witnessed numptyness on the next level. Was at a big shopping complex and went to "take a leak". Large toilet with over a dozen unused urinals next to me.........but someone decided to "park" himself RIGHT NEXT TO ME Now come on, I thought there was an unspoken rule about this kind of behavior
  22. More time travelling is surely a good thing once you are reunited with ZEDNESS. I was worried you would simply upgrage a few rungs on the German execmobile ladder when the promotion came. Truely happy for you Chris
  23. Oooooooo you lucky thing. Only one thing better than getting a zed........getting a BRAND NEW ZED
  24. Glad you got your money back. I hope the dealer doesn't try passing it off as 100% to another buyer. The next buyer may not be as sharp/quick to reject it and it may all end in tears
