chirag1988 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 this is similar to the mitt in halfords by G3, £12. Yup that's the one I've got Quote
mr_smith126 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 They are great. I've got one, used it loads, not just on my cars, but on friends too - it's a convincing experience to let them feel it get smooth under their own hands. Despite using it loads, it's still as good as new too - I'd say a dozen times so far. Have your friends got rough faces..? 5 Quote
Karl92 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Do you still need to use quick detailer or can you just dry the car off with it ? Quote
Ekona Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The car DEFINITELY needs to be wet, else you'll wreck the paintwork. You can use the rinsing water if there's enough of it, but I always use QD as you really need a lot of water with a clay and invariably there's never enough left on the bloody car when I try and cheat. -Bradders- Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Halfords do a G3 QD that goes with the mitt which i use everytime! Quote
veeg33 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Halfords do a G3 QD that goes with the mitt which i use everytime! 3 for 2 offer at Halfords at the moment if that helps. I'm considering to buy this actually. 1 Quote
roscopervis Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I use clean soapy water, in fact I foam the car after it's been washed and use that and clean soapy water to clay the car with the cloth. Works a treat. 1 Quote

sipar69 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) Decided to give one these Carpro towels a try. Pretty impressed - much quicker than clay. This is the result of - Megs shampoo, Carpro towel (with plenty of water and Sonax QD), White Hole Glaze (and Black Hole on the dark bits), 2 coats of Jetseal 109. Sorry about rubbish pics - taken on an IPad and I couldn't see what i was photographing due to the sun Edited May 9, 2015 by sipar69 1 Quote
BobbyZ Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Couldn't find it in Halfords the other day on my shopping list though. I tried a clay bar the other week for the first time after reading this forum, with less than stellar results Quote
Ricey Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 The autosmart one is pretty good value to be honest. Lasts for ages Quote

coldel Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Some that look almost identical on ebay for a fair few quid less...in fact one which is £19 which looks like it comes from the same sweat shop CarPros come from. Checked on the actual CarPro site, and couldnt find this product either? Quote
roscopervis Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Mine cost £12.95, been using it for over a year with no issues. Quote
coldel Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Aye, I think that the £25 is somewhat overpriced for what it is Quote
ilogikal1 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Aye, I think that the £25 is somewhat overpriced for what it is Still better than the £40-50 versions though. 1 Quote
sipar69 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 It's a cloth with sticky gunk on it. In the grand metaphysical scheme of things it's worth...nothing. 1 Quote
