Hi All, Sad times, it is time to sell my beloved Fairlady Z after nearly 7 great years of ownership. The car is a 2002MY JDM import with 92,000 miles on the clock (35,000 are in km). The car comes with stack load of receipts and the original import documents. The front and rear bumpers have had a re-spray to get rid of stone chips, and the wheels have also been recently re-furbished. The car has 6+ months left on the MOT (August 2017). Car always serviced every 9K miles and had the gearbox oil changed recently. Around 3mm left on the rear tyres and 5mm on the front, they are Bridgestone S001 on both axles. The car is fairly standard, but the following mods have been performed: • Tein S-Tech springs • Assorted Whiteline PU bushes on the front and rear suspension • K&N air filter • EBC yellowstuff brake pads • Braided hoses • 10mm spacers front and rear Please feel free to send a PM if interested. £5,250 OVNO

That looks fairly good, is it any better than the Autosol polish?

WD40 then elbow grease along, then wash as standard works quite well.

I really think tyres are subjective, I feel that some people prefer razr sharp turn in and agility and others a rubbery more forigiving tyre.

Really like the Yellostuff, and had no issues with USR discs for road use. Haven't tried them on the track,but would be tempted.

Hi Ekona, I am looking for a back box, mid-pipe to connect to the y-pipe. Although the y-pipe is also being offered in the sale. Basically looking for a straight swap as my mid-pipe and back box joint have failed, but have already had a section welded in, so the flange that usually mates the two is missing.

Thanks for your help guys! Getting the multimeter on the sensor it appears to be reading fine, so I'm thinking it maybe an earthing issue somewhere? Agree that if the oil pressure was genuinely that high or had gone that high then the engine would have stalled and hoses would have popped off lol.

Hi All, I was driving at the weekend, and all of a sudden my oil pressure shot passed the max reading, which if a genuine pressure reading would have meant the engine would have gone pop! The car is running fine apart from the gauge having gone bonkers. I figure its either an earthing issue or some detioration of the electrical connection in the gauge. I'm not sure what the main problem is but was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem? Cheers, Al

Personally I perfer them to the RE050A that I had on all round. The are slighty snappier in the wet but I found more feedback and grip if you are a smooth driver. In the dry they offer more precision at the expense of a little progression, which I am more than happy with. Hate floppy side walls like the T1-R, it is not really a true feel of where the tyre is at in terms of grip

Thanks for the input guys. I realisitcally dont want to spend too much, so really the trade in on the Zed circa £6500, I guess. I would like something that won't need too much spending it on, but is frugal when crusing. I guess the S2000 is an option as Japex are fairly knowledgable about servicing

Hi Guys and Gals, After nearly 3 years of awesomeness I am thinking of selling the Zed due to house move and longer to commute. The thing is what do you replace it with I need something equally fun but a tad more frugal. I've thought about the following: 1) An S2000 but not really that much of an improvement on frugality as you need to thrash it to get anywhere 2) A VW GTi but costs a fortune to find one with reasonable mileage 3) A Scoob Impreza - not really that much of an improvement frugality wise. 4) VX220 / Elise - will be in the garage every other week, Georgie the lab wont like the seats. 5) Cooper S JCW - Has the frugality but I have worries about the gearbox Argh the list is endless...... Has anyone got any ideas? Al

I'm waiting for a review comparing the new Bridgestone S-04 before pulling the trigger. The S-04 is known as the S001 in Europe I have just put a set on and they are better than the optimumly worn (just into the indicators) RE050A that I had on, I thought I had better change as the police wouldn't like them. A bit more precise and greater overall grip I would say. I have read a lot of positive comments about the Michelins but not any personal experience.

I've had the Toyos and RE050A's, but have just put a set of S001's on and they are a leap ahead of the RE050A's. Personally I like a stiff and accurate feel, and do not mind the slightly less progressive feel of them. The Toyos I felt were very squidgy and junked at first oppurtunity, but they were progressive. It depends what you want in terms of feel.
