WhackyWill Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Clarkson has just been suspender by the BBC following a row with the producer. No Top Gear this Sunday... :scare: 1 Quote
Grundy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) Lets see how long before this thread escalates Edit - I retract that comment after seeing Doogys link. Just seems odd not airing an already filmed episode....This week was 2014 Japfest as well. Edited March 10, 2015 by grundy225 1 Quote

WhackyWill Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 I thought the Japfest one was already shown..!! Quote
370Ad Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Seems like more of an internal dispute as there are no comments about an episode. Yeah it was about Japfest 2014 Quote
Wendy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Personally I cannot stand the man and have not watched Top Gear in Years - he does really grate. How he has kept his job so long goodness only knows - except of course its al down the money he brings in. Hoping he disappears from Top Gear and we have a new presenter who is not so far up his own a%SS. !!! 3 Quote
GreenLandy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 The studio bits of Top Gear are filmed on Wednesdays, so presumably that's why it isn't being shown. Hopefully just delaying it a week though. Quote
muckyman Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I always thought the studio stuff was filmed on the Wednesday before the airing. Maybe thats why this weekend has been cancelled. Would be funny if the 'empty chaired' him like they are proposing to do to Cameron. Hammond and May would have a ball! Quote

If he goes the next presenter will have very big shoes to fill. Be interesting to see if he pipes up on Twitter about it now its been made public. 4 Quote

brillomaster Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Clarkson: And on that BOMBSHELL - I've been suspended! 3 Quote
glrnet Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 No smoke without fire:- The presenter himself has remained silent, however last month he tweeted a post saying a "new presenter for Top Gear" was wanted. "Applicant should be old, badly dressed and pedantic but capable of getting to work on time," he said. Quote

That was to do with James may being late for work and holding up filming, Hammond was tweeting about it too 1 Quote
Z370Z Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 They can never replace Clarkson, he makes Top Gear brilliant to watch, his wit and sense of humour is great 3 Quote
marzman Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Hopefully this isnt the beginning of the end. I really like Clarkson. 2 Quote
GMballistic Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Pretty gutting really, ...not the bit about Clarkson, ...just been waiting a while to see what they actually where doing at Japfest last year. 1 Quote
benjy88 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 CIarkson stiII owns a huge amount of shares to the rights to the show.... Such as the rights to 'The Stig' brand, etc... That's why he hasn't disappeared. Quote
