RafsZed Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Hey guy's who's woken up with your iOS update installed got to say I'm loving the new keyboard and the camera now has a self timer, so far so good. Quote
Ekona Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Mine's done too. You can have some fun with the predictive keyboard, just keep tapping away at one button and see what it writes for you Other than that there's a few nice tweaks (being able to send location via text is a godsend), but it's just about tidying it up a little I think. It's more for developers, as it frees up the device for their software. Quote
WhackyWill Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 (edited) Got a bit of a problem downloading mine. Only got 1GB of space and it said it needs 4.6GB. Better get delegating then..!! :scare: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited September 18, 2014 by WhackyWill Quote
JJNornIron Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I hate how every time these new IOS updates come out, my trusty iPhone 4 seems to get slower each time! Now I just can't upgrade. Guess my phone is "cool" anymore. Thanks Apple. Quote
Lexx Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 At least Apple tend to add to functionality rather than removing it. Every update of Chrome or Android OS seems to remove the best bits. The last update of Chrome removed the refresh button FFS! 1 Quote
Daryl Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Had an issue with it not recognising my Airplay, but after a shut down and start up, all seems well again. Quote

Time for you to get a new phone chap, iphone 4 is 4 years old, can't expect Apple (or google for that matter) to stop advances in functionality due to hardware limitations Edited September 18, 2014 by saihaynes Quote
Voodoo Vix Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Did mine last night and freaked my boyfriend out by sending him an audio text message lol (he hasn't downloaded yet as not enough memory) Quote
Ekona Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I've been sending people random texts all day with the auto fill Quote

ChrisB Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Seems to nearly work fine on my gen 3 iPad. I downloaded and left it installing on the drive home - about 45mins, then took the dogs out for a quickie. Finally got to the setup screen after about an hour. Yes the autospell is a bit weird. I am not sure why it is requesting autofill password when typing into this blatantly non password box either.. Quote
tatooandy67 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 (edited) The voice txt is quite entertaining Been giving that a try sending random messages to people Edited September 18, 2014 by tatooandy67 Quote
Angrybiker Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I like iOS 8, my Pioneer app radio doesn't. They sent me an email 2day telling me which apps aren't compatible... It's all of them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Guess my phone is "cool" anymore. Thanks Apple. The iPhone 4 came out in June 2010, that's practically prehistoric for a phone... Try digging out an android phone that old and see if the latest ice cr am/jellybean fandango will run on it Quote

RickyZ Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Doesn't feel like a new OS to me; more like just an update. They could of given it a new look but I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
