Sarnie Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 @*!# the bed! It's been a long long time since I've looked at a new, and thought *WOW*!! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201305297011706/sort/default/usedcars/model/f-type/make/jaguar/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/postcode/b463lj/radius/1500/page/1/advert-type/standard-listing?logcode=ucnnp Thats one seriously good looking car! I don't think I can get past the badge and the probably hideous depreciation though....... Quote
ATTAK Z Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Yea nice looking car ... very colour dependant though IMO Quote
spursmaddave Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Seriously sexy but as you say close to £100k for a well spec'd V8 which will drop quicker than Josi Marsh's knickers Would be in my garage if I won the lottery though Quote
Sarnie Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 The advert caught my attention today! I reckon hiring one for the weekend would be a good idea so you can give it back and not lose £20k a year for the first three years!! Quote
Fluke Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I have been involved with work on the new F Type and its a stunning car, the sound on start up is absolutely gorgeous. The coupe version looks even better. Quote
CrumbMC Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 The V6 S is thd one to have apparently yeah that's what all the journo's are saying. There is a HUGE waiting list apparently Quote
Bems Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Test drove a V6 S 5 weeks ago when my old man was picking up his XF. Beautiful car to look at, be in and drive. Should make a great 2nd hand buy if its like any other Jag for depreciation!! Quote
Wasso Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Saw a red one this morning. Good points. 1. Front bumper 2. Doesn't sound too bad, could be better for the price (poss v6 I heard) Bad Points. 1. All of it! 2. Specifically the back end, looks like Toyota designed it. It's just another wannabe Jag in my book. I don't like Aston apart from the Vantage, and I'd rather drive the rest of their range than the wannabe Jag. Sorry doesn't float my boat at all. Quote
leonk Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Had the chance to have a good look round one and sit in it on a Jaguar stand at a recent classic car meet and have to say I really like it. It was in white which suited it nicely. Quote
JetSet Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm with Wasso on this, the front end is seriously beautiful but the back end makes it look like a kit car . Pete Quote
gangzoom Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Wasn't a fan till I actually saw one the other day. Much more road presence in real life, shame I wouldn't be in any position to consider one for another 20 years Quote
choptop Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 You all know what to get me for my next birthday present Oh and a black one please. Thanks for asking Quote
Dynamic Turtle Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Had a mooch around one of the V8s in canary wharf today - the dealer giving the exhaust some beans with the loud button on. Let's just say it was the most ridiculous OTT howitzer cannon fire i've ever heard produced from a car. It makes a bowler wildcat sound ghey. It is NOT a good thing and you will be pulled by the blues & twos. Will put lots of buyers off methinks. Quote
spursmaddave Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I saw one last friday it sounded like a Spitfire going past and that was as at 20mph Quote
sipar69 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 If I had that kind of money to spend...... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/maserati/granturismo/used-maserati-granturismo-v8-s-2dr-mc-shift-preston-fpa-201306107211658?logcode=p 1 Quote

Ekona Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Not a convertible, not a two-seater sports car, not really comparable I'm afraid. I agree with you, I'd take a GT over an FT any day, but they're not competitors. Quote
