gort Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Hi Guys. I'm going to a wedding in August, and do you think the combo would work? Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Depends on the suit and the shoes really Quote
sasha@lazytrips Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I think you should put them on and film a drunken dance for us to ascertain suitability. Quote
Leeroy Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 A vote for yes here The shoes need to be a light/tan brown and the suit a light grey though IMO. Quote
Chap Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I'm with Vik on this. Shoes, black, highly polished - sixty percent of the time it works every time. Quote

buster Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Deffo notto.......You would look like a wannabe greasy office type from a call center.... oh dear this is what i wore to my wedding light grey suit and tan shoes . Quote
Jay Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 eehh Yes it would work. Would be better if it was the tan / brown brogue's then wear a matchin belt. It is popular at the moment. You will get alot of people saying No... but they will prob wear black suits with black shoes and belt I say go for it.. but your belt must be a good match to your shoes Quote

wesmin Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I think the fashion police would have you arrested. Has to be black shoes, ask Gok Quote
Sarnie Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Black shoes would be the dull/safe choice. Be different. I have 8 pairs of shoes and only two pairs are black................... Quote

bronzee Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I think the fashion police would have you arrested. Has to be black shoes, ask Gok Have you seen some of the outfits he puts people in?! What you wear, often has more to do with personality and if you can pull it off. Quote
EH 370z Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 A Gentleman would never were brown using the old maxim "Never brown in town!" Now if you were were country apparel i.e. a nice tweed number, that would be different. For future fashion advice please click the link below. http://www.thechap.net/ Quote
geoff-r Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Wait just a second... The wedding is in August and you're planning the outfit in April? Just chill and relax until July 30th. Pretty sure that's punishable by removal of the man card, only women worry that far off! Quote
Gudzy Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Grey suit with brown shoes was what most of the men were wearing at my brothers wedding in Tenerife last May. Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 As i said at the start, all depends on the style and colour of the suit & shoes. I would advise caution when taking fashion advice from Ricey Quote
