Hello Guys and Gals

Hi there. Been lurking around on here for a couple of weeks but just wanted to say hi. I bought my 350z GT Roadster a few weeks back on a 55 plate in gunmetal. Just had a SS scorpion fitted which i love.

I can only say that its my 1st z car and although i've wanted one for ages i can't believe you can get so much spec and performance for the money. Everything else seems so much more out of reach financially.

My only real concern is a thread that someone put on here a couple of weeks ago about having suffered 2 blown engines in a week. Its a 3.5ltr V6 for heavens sake. Is this normal ? I would have thought these engines would last forever, especially being japanese too. Is the 350z a ticking time bomb ?

 hi and welcome mate!!post some pics up of your Zed if you can....yeah that was an interesting week i think maybe just a coincidence or an immense amount if ragging on the wrong fuel was a possibility!!but generally service it well have good oil in it all the time, run it on v power and i cant see why it would go bang without some serious abuse...hope your liking the forum

My word, you are a friendly bunch. Thanks for the welcomes folks. The 2nd mod has been completed with a k&n panel filter. Its started. I'm now looking at the Japspeed Y pipe as i read that they are the one to go for with the Scorpion SS system ? Its started.

Whilst on the subject of air filters, why did Nissan decide to make it a 2 minute job to change an air filter that probably lasts for years, and think it was ok to have to remove the front end to fit a bloody headlight bulb ? An easy access point would have been nice. Still on the honeymoon period though and i'm in love :throb:

Welcome to the joys of Zedding. :p:lol::thumbs: Filter should be changed on a regular basis though. Be thankful it's not another model of Nissan though, or you might have to use a few tools to get to the filter too.
