sgb32 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I'm currently driving a 1996 R33 GTS-T Skyline dynoed at 318HP. Have done most of the mods myself. Great car, but I want to run something newer and not have to worry about the rust creeping in! Would appreciate some advice on the 350Z: Buying: UK car or JDM import – what’s the difference and which should I go for (I want the GT pack)? Looking at the specs for the 350Z most are around 300HP? I’ve not yet driven a 350Z so I’m wondering how my 318HP GTS-T Skyline would compare? Cheers Steve Quote
ATTAK Z Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wel come the experts with advise re power etc will be along shortly .... in the meantime have a look in FAQ or use search ....plenty of good stuff in there Quote
Stew Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Welcome along. Basically the UK vs JDM stuff is well covered on the forum. The JDM section will help a lot. Not THAT many differences really..... If you are planning to mod the car then it's maybe better getting a base model and buying parts but that's a personal choice. Power - The 350Z will feel slow. If you glance at the speedo though you'll soon realise that it's not bad. With no turbo shove and a very torquey linear power delivery you'll soon appreciate the VQ. Quote
Jay Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Welcome to thr forum mate, As stew said the zed doesnt feel that fast but when you glance at the speedo you will get a nice surprise Quote
