coldel Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I think Flex may be on here soon to comment on a certain Jean Luc being the best! Quote
docwra Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Where the hell did the Star Trek appreciation society spring from? :scare: 3 Quote
Aashenfox Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 My bad, but in my defense, we are easily roused. 2 Quote

BulletMagnet Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Deep Space Nine for me. <3 DS9 so very, very much. Best series of ST for me, by far. Nope, Farscape has my vote Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Did love Farscape. Don't think I could pick a favourite out of NextGen, Voyager & DS9. Quote
gangzoom Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 ^Netflix now seem to have every episode of StarTrek ever made bar Enterprise. Currently half way through season 9 on Voyager. Quote
Ekona Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Now I know that's a lie, since they only did 7 seasons 1 Quote
Aashenfox Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Believe it or not, I am actually planning on attending Coventry WITH MY ZED, yep, I'm going to drive it from Athens, Greece to my Birthplace in the dull west midlands, even the missus is up for it. I will make sure to bring with me a mobile disk with every episode of Star Trek ever made on it, so that any club member (*who owns the original media*, yeh, right) can take a nice backup from me in digital form. Yes. That. Nice and legal. lol. 1 Quote

Stutopia Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 No probs, this isn't just about your post. There are plenty of others. Quote
monkeybrain1234 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Watched it. When talking about cars great. Other dross went on a bit. In 75min they only reviewed 4 cars! I want more cars 1 Quote
Blocko Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 I really enjoyed it. Old top gear had become very stale. I think the trio we're bored of doing the same thing every episode and the egos were getting annoying. New top gear was crap. Why did they just try to copy it? Madness. GT I thought was good. Still very scripted but new and fresh and the boys came across better. Some of the features show promise. It's good entertainment with or without the cars and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next. Quote
Ekona Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Which feature showed promise? Arguing with the audience and the 'editing'? Killing off celebrities? Driving round the dullest track ever with a stereotypical American driver? Quote
Blocko Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 lol I didn't mind the American driver or the track landmarks. The celeb bit was milked but I liked how the section referenced to things being different to topgear Quote

I thought they came across more awkwardly and without chemistry than in any TG, seriously, some of the dialogue seemed unnatural (because it was even more scripted than TG ever was). 1 Quote
StevoD Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Episode 2 is ****ing dreadful 1 Quote
StevoD Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 In what way Steve? its like an 40 minutes of that British air force/american air force fight joke Quote
coldel Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Oh bloody hell, and that was probably the worst bit of the first episode. Quote
