You remove the trim and the air bag as one unit.
However there is one bolt/nut which holds the air bag to the body and this has to be removed and this will probably be the bolt/nut which is causing your removal issue.

I have been trying to contact them for the past 10 days.

It was a substantial order of 8 x MPSS for the R35 GT-R, circa £2500.00.

As Lexx has said, probably just the dirt shield touching the rotor, however I would take it back to the garage for them to rectify there shoddy workmanship if indeed this is the issue.

Turns out that I only have R/H front and rear crash cans in stock at the moment so if any one can help Rich out with a L/H front crash can then that would be greatly appreciated.

Did you measure up the height of the cover as previously suggested.
Also may be a plan to measure the thickness of the release bearing as well and compare with what came out originally.
