The slider plates and fixing screws are part of the calipers and are not available from Nissan on there own. They can be very difficult to remove if the screws are siezed and if they snap in then you will have an issue. The problem exists because the aluminium caliper oxidizes and pushes the slider plate upwards which narrows the space for the pad to move freely. Try slightly levering the edge of the slider upwards and then use a thin small blade to scrape away the foreign material, blowing out with an air line as you go. Once you have cleared away all the crap you will have to gently chap the plate back into its original position so that the pad then becomes a good fit. Alex.
  2. Thanks. It is flat sided but the problem.is the nut isnt on far enough to grip the flat part. And that is why I recommended the options above. Alex.
  3. It should rattle off with a decent impact gun. Leave the car on the ground so that there is load on the top mount. Then when nut off, check to see if it is the strut thread or the nut that is damaged. If it is only the nut then a new nut will fix the issue, if it is the thread on the strut then you will have to run a die down the thread to fix or stick on a preowned strut. If you have to use grips on the ram of the strut, make sure that you have it well protected with a thick cloth. Good luck. Preowned struts and nuts are in stock if required. Alex.
  4. Yes, all bonnet spacers or lifters will lift the bonnet at the rear as that is what you are trying to do to clear the strut brace. However the end result is like marmite. There are much cheaper lifter options available. You could also lower the strut brace to clear the bonnet , but make sure that it clears the plenum. A new HR bulge bonnet will also work but may not suit your pocket. Alex.
  5. A cheap fix would be to fit a set of hood risers which will cost you circa £2.00 Alex
  6. Yes, a standard OEM "Y" will be a direct replacement for your Nismo. PM received and replied to. Alex.
  7. Nice one mate, thank you. Two sets in stock at the moment and totally unmarked and indistinguishable from new. Drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.
  8. Genuine Nissan preowned alternators are in stock and good to go same/next day. Fully working and guaranteed. Just drop me a PM if I can help you further. Alex.
  9. If they fitted a decent brand of disc and you have not cooked them on track then they will not be warped, and you will more than likely find that you have a DTV issue. Alex.
  10. Best to stick with the steel nut options. Alex.
  11. As what Neil has said, I have tried most of them and none get even close to Snap On, however probably more than you will require if it is just for occasional use. Alex.
  12. Check out the restoration business and then make an informed decision keeping in mind that the insurance recommended garages more often than not carry out quite poor work. If you decide on the restoration option then you can always pop in on a daily basis to check on the progress being made. Alex.
  13. I never reply to these type ot threads, by the way where is twobears?
  14. This works quite well, check out all the images. http://www.jdl-brakes.com/revozport-track-front-splitter-with-brake-duct-kit-nissan-r35-gtr.html Alex
  15. Happy days Irfan. Hope that it all goes well for you. Alex.
  16. The ducting and deflectors on the R35 track pack direct the cold air directly onto the front and rear calipers and rotors hence the reduction of 105 degrees C on front and 44 degrees C on rear whilst on track. Informed and actual personal experiences carries much more weight than what you read and hear on forums and magazines. Good luck with what ever plans you have as there are numerous successful ways to duct the brakes on the 35.
  17. Have other plans for the actual caliper cooling, but want to see if I can get the front bumper looking right before I go down that route. Also want something more aggressive on the front to match the rear spoiler I am planning. Last I heard, the track pack ducts were not actually ducted to the calipers....... You heard wrong as they work very well. Alex.
  18. For the front, the OEM track pack R35 front bumper works a treat and it has carbon brake cooling ducts built in, however you will require air deflectors to direct the air to the calipers and rotors. This is what I run, and on track it has reduced my front brake temperatures by 105 degress C and the rear kit works reasonably well also with a reduction of 44 degrees C. Alex.
  19. The compression rod is also affectionately known as the banana arm Daryl. Alex
  20. Could just be pad movement within the caliper as some aftermarket pads are not a "perfect" fit. Alex.
  21. Lower control arms are easy to swop out Daryl and definately a DIY. The lower compression rods can be a bit more trickier if the bushing is seized on the chassis pin. Alex.
  22. Get the Uprev done first Steven and then perhaps a set of plugs if issue still there. Plenty preowned coil packs and injectors are in stock if required. Alex.
