    PM received and replied to, and as Ewen has said a cost effective rebuild is the way forward, providing only the faulty parts are replaced. However, if you follow the Nissan workshop manual then you will end up replacing most of the internals.

    If you are concerned about the oil quality then I would advise that you swop the oil and filter out for proper stuff now. Best to spend £50.00 now than 3 grand later, on an engine transplant. Alex
