  1. Yes, you will have to top up the transmission fluid and also the power steering fluid which will require bled. You will also have to bleed the coolant system. Guides for these procedures should be in the guides section. However, as said previously even though I admire your gallantry, best to get a pro to finish this off for you, or at the very least have a read at the workshop manual as my fingers and keyboard are getting worn out. Alex.
  2. With the greatest of respect mate, I would advise you just to get a garage to complete this job for you. There is no rocket science involved with this job, however you do require a bit of basic mechanical knowledge. I am guessing that you have an automatic, which in that case the red fluid may be transmission fluid. Alex.

  4. Having said all that, the knock will probably be from the BJ in the compression rod, however I hope that your diagnoses is correct and it is the upright lower BJ. Alex.
  5. The ball joint can be replaced and CMS should have them in stock, and they are not expensive. Alex.
  6. How much oil are you using, say per 500 miles ? Bet you don't know. Alex.

    Manual gearbox

Thank you Will, Pre-owned gearboxes are in stock however not sure about just a casing so will have to look. Do you not also require the shaft ? What year and model is your car.? Alex.
  9. These are the same ones that I used to supply. Made in Taiwan, however great quality and superb fit. Sold over 250 and I only had one issue and that was after being on the car for circa 3 years. The carbon ones are also worth considering. Good find Will. Alex.
  10. Why don't you try it and find out for your self ? That way you will know for sure, however I doubt if you will have any fitment issues, providing you have the correct wheels and tyres. Alex.
  11. You have taken a dry comp reading which only refers to compression ie valves, comp rings etc. What you now require to carry out is a wet reading to establish what wear you may have on the oil rings etc. Alex.
  12. The answer to your question is no. Check tyres and pressures first. Alex.
  13. Tyres or tyre pressures perhaps. Alex.
