    A compression rod ball joint knock is completely different from a compression rod bushing knock. It after an informed inspection no fault is obvious then it will be the compression rod ball joint that is giving the knock. Alex.

    You will only get a knock from the bush if the arm is touching the sub frame. Alex.

    Spend about a grand including map, excluding cats, and you may get 10 - 20bhp, however the drive will be improved. Alex.

    Looks like the bush is fooked and the arm is resting on the lower subframe which in turn will give you a knock on rough surfaces. Alex.

    The later racks are different from the early cars, however the 2006 should be compatible with the 2003. 2003 - 2005 preowned racks are in stock if required and all guaranteed to be servicable and with no leaks Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.

    There are 3 lugs on each B pillar trim. Be careful that you do not break them on removal. Alex.
