  6. Are these motors not aftermarket ? Genuine Nissan new power window motors are only £179.00 from forum traders. Worth paying a bit extra for the genuine article and a local warranty IMHO.
  7. Yes agree not much room for that one however certainly doable in situ. trust me. Otherwise if you can not find any one with the suitable skills or desire, then just slip the engine and gearbox forward an inch which would take about an hour, but really this should not necessary.
  8. Oh! and in answer to your original question, probably circa £500.00 to remove and refit the head.
  9. All 10 bolts on the L/H bank are accessible for removal if broken, granted the rears have less room to work around, but it is certainly doable with out taking off the head, providing you have the correct tools and a little skill.

  12. This is a bit of a saga Gary, your heading states "engineering solution help" Just use a socket of the correct size. If you do not have a socket that is sized to your liking then just machine it down, either externally or internally or both. Simples. Job Done. If you get really stuck, then just nip up to Perth and I will press it in for you.
  13. Informed diagnoses is never cheap and sometimes exceeds the cost of the repair. Find a friendly air-con specialist who should be able to find the fault cheaply and quickly. Avoid establishments like Kwik-fit etc. All parts that you may require are in stock and good to go same/next day. Alex.

  15. A socket of the correct size will work fine.; Does not matter if the old bush gets damaged on removal. Just be careful when pressing in. Saw the press in your image.
  16. If you do not have the proper tool then just use an old socket of the correct size.

  18. Alex have you used PF compound eg 01 or pagid rs 15 or 29? If yes how does it compared to the car carbotechs 10/12? I have used PF01 and Pagid RS29 and I prefer Carbotech. Each to there own thou. Try them, however 12 may be overkill for your application. Alex
