  1. Sitrep, out a wee run there the now and code P0335 just came up, crankshaft sensor which was done about two years ago and think it came from Eurocarparts n only think that because we had an account with them before mid 2023 so wont be Hitachi, will replace with something recomended, hope thats the cause of the tacho issue this morning...
  2. As said, on the way to work this morning, got onto the motorway about 20 minutes into the journey and the rev counter started bouncing, the revs of the car weren't bouncing but the needle was, any ideas? M, no codes or engine light, 2005 JDM DE, cheers...
  3. Cheers mate, glad of the help, always...
  4. Ah know, but ahm not stressing over it now ah know the problem was a sensor and not something catastrophic... Cheers...
  5. Sitrep, yes, long time since last post but I seem to have like 5 minutes a week free time for some reason... Anyway, bought a sensor back in September and it wasnt good... As in it read just under half and didnt move, at all, it was crap. And that highlights what lots of people say, OEM / Hitachi, etc only as it wasnt one of them so money back and more time wasted... New OEM sensor ordered from Tarmac Sportz and fitted last weekend, pressure reads as it should so not (touch wood) anything worse. Only went a short run as said, time limited and was going to bring it to work this morning to give it a good run but came out this morning to black ice everywhere and ah thought the better of it so that will have to wait... Few electrical issues to sort out and loads of cosmetics, loads but I'll get there.. Cheers...
  6. Seriously old thread but ahv got an X-Trail unit in mine, works ok... Well, worked, seems to be a fuse blown (know this as tried refitting Jap unit back in to test) but cant find it... Anyway, real reason for posting.. Ah miss the little Japanese voice when ah start the car... CD no, program no, then some other Japanese stuff...
  7. Sorry, info not on post... Oil and filter just changed, level top of high mark. Yes with AC on revs go up so does pressure but it's marginal, don't think ahd trust that as a fix and ah know you didn't suggest that. So yes, sender was a thought and is probably the next move.
  8. 2005 JDM, HKS panel filter, HKS copy exhaust, sport cats. I had a misfire and oil pressure low on idle, finally found a code reader that could communicate with the car that gave me a coil error. I replaced 6 coils with Hitachi and while there checked plugs and done a compression test as advised which gave an average of 165psi within 4 of each other with my cheap tester (think regardless of number the consistency is a good thing) and also while in there done the plenum riser so regardless right or wrong the car has everything done to it I want. Misfire is gone, car starts ok, fast idles ok, but when it starts to warm up and the idle drops so does the oil pressure. Idle rests at circa 700 and by that time oil pressure is down to .4-.5Kpa x100 which is about 5-7psi and the oil light flickers. Kind of trying not to fear the worst but running out of ideas. Any help (even garage as opposed to self help) appreciated, cheers...
  9. Finally found a JOBD that works, got code, Coil packs ordered (Hitachi), hopefully solves the problem...
  10. Both wired scanners said so, but there were both positive and negative comments on that, similar to the forum itself... The bluetooth reader ah got to go with the NDS II was as advised to get by them... You know of any that work?
  11. Hi guys, ok, so car is not running good, fine on startup but starts missing when warmed up so it's parked up again. I have tried two wired scanners that claim to do JDM but don't work and have a Bluetooth Elm with the idea of using NDS II. That's no worked either... Ahv read loads of threads with no definitive answer (the Bluetooth Elm and NDS II was said to work, ahv E'd the NDS people case ahm doing something wrong). Anyway, any help appreciated... Would like to get the codes before I remove anything... Cheers...
  12. Topic closed... Got the cheaper one of the two, a wee bit cheaper too, Pintopete, cheers... ....... Now, what else will ah need..... .........
  13. The one for £79 and the one for £90, saw them earlier, still looking knowing they are there... Cheers...
  14. Spoke to Alex earlier today, no joy... Was nice to catch up though... There's like a million for LHD cars but ahm still looking... Cheers...
