  1. Get the code read, stay under 3K revs, chuck a bottle of octane booster in there.
  2. That has to be a member's car surely? Bose hack, PSS, DBA discs... Wonderful spec.
  3. Yup, it really does search the Internet brilliantly
  4. Oh yeah, it's a massive warehouse but the front end is dedicated to trying stuff. Loads of seats, steering wheels etc to play with, and a good selection of helmets and racewear off the rack too.
  5. Oil leak appears to be getting worse I may have to do something about this sooner rather than later, and now I'm just praying it's the front one that's getting worse as that's a hell of a lot easier than the rear... Wasn't too happy on a hot start today either, thing wanted to practically stall if you left it alone. Drove up the road and it was fine though, so not sure what's going on there. It was fine this morning, but I'll have a hunt around for air leaks too just in case.
  6. Ironically the best place to go for that is Demon Tweeks in Wrexham, they've got loads in stock for you to try. Make a weekend of it and enjoy the local roads, well worth it.
  7. As discussed before though, it doesn't mean anything like that. It's referring to putting quality parts on in a few specific places, rather than having to keep a car 100% original.
  8. Sell the HD1 and buy a HD2? Upgrade cost might not be that much then, although you would still have the cost of the external mic to add in. Having looked at this, when I purchase mine later this month (hopefully) I'll be adding a Sony ECM-DS70P to it for decent sound capturing.
  9. I didn't, as much as I would've liked to I think that would've been a bit sad. Just meeting the man is good enough for me, I'll always have the memory
  10. What a thoroughly decent chap Went to the launch of the Maser GTS last night in London at some posh club, and was just standing there chatting to my mate Mark when suddenly there was a mass of photographers snapping away at this short guy in a pale blue jacket. He turns around and I was a little bit taken back to discover that it was Sir Stirling not more than 10m away. He was kinda occupied most of the evening by the usual luvvy-dahlink kinda people who all earn more in one day than I do in a year, but after a couple of glasses of champagne I decided I wasn't going to miss a chance to say hello to just a legend so casually sauntered up and introduced myself. I literally only wanted to shake his hand and leave the guy in peace, but both his wife and him insisted that I stick around for a bit and had a proper chat about racing, and how it's far too safe and dull these days compared with when he was doing it professionally. He spent longer talking with me than I could ever have expected, and tbh I could've stayed there all night, fascinating guy. Perhaps it was a little bit uncool to get so excited by the thought of meeting a hero, but I'm bloody glad I did it. Jodie Kidd was there as well (she's proper tall!), but I didn't really get a chance to speak with her. Sir Stirling is far cooler though.
  11. Yup, old news and not going to happen. Typical Daily Fail scaremongering
  12. Trust me, the mk3 MR2 is a better car when it stays NA. Having driven most conversions now, I'd stick with the simple 2ZZ one, even over the V6. Better balanced.
  13. Whats wrong with a jailbroken one Ekona? Nothing as such, I'm just thinking along the lines of something like a keylogger which is impossible to do on a non-broken iPhone, whereas you can put whatever you want on a jailbroken one with relative ease. Access to FB and everything else is easy to get via social engineering or if you use the same passwords, but the telephone number thing? That's the puzzler here, and unless she does have a mate in CPW who is passing on the details then there has to be something on the phone. ...or not, as with a way of accessing the PC/Mac remotely you could view the iPhone's telephone number on screen when connected to iTunes. That's all I've got really, not much help I know.
  14. They're pretty good. Nowhere near the PS2, PSS or RE050A, but better than something like the FK452. I'd rather have the VUS for that kind of money though.
  15. Why would he bother? Money is now irrelevant to him, he has more than enough and any team in the top 6 would be able to satisfy a basic package as long as he kept his own image rights. He wants titles, and there's only three teams capable of delivering that to him. He can't go to Ferrari because Alcocko won't let him, and Red Bull don't have a space next year. He will be with McLaren next year 100%, even if he only signs a 1 year deal with an option of a further year, depending on whether Vettel moves to Ferrari in 2014 as we all suspect he will. I have absolutely no doubt that Mercedes have been speaking to Lewis' management team and given them a package to offer to him, but then I'd be amazed if Lotus and Red Bull hadn't done exactly the same. You make the offers on the off-chance you can get a top driver, and if they say yes then you work out if you actually want them or not. It's common sense. Eddie Jordan is entertaining and still chatty with the big guns, but ultimately this is a complete non-story and a load of utter rubbish.
  16. *Looks at Stoke's position in league* *Looks at Spur's position in league* Stones, glass houses and all that...
  17. Make sure they go up your bum the right way round

    No sky for me

I paid a bit extra to be with Sky this year, almost 10% more I think, but I did that because I wanted my mods covered to their value. Admiral would only have given me standard parts back if I had an accident, and the risk wasn't worth the saving. Depends on whether you see insurance as a necessary evil or if you want it to give you protection/peace of mind I guess. The fact that some specialist insurers can be double a mainstream shouldn't come as any surprise, as it's no difference to when you Gocomparethemoneysupermeerkat and end up with some premiums in the £8K range. Some insurers want the business and will take the risk, some don't want will price themselves out of the risk. Truth is that people driving modified sports cars have some of the highest value claims in the event of an accident, so insurers need to protect themselves against that risk.
  19. In that case, I never want to be within 5 miles of yours
