He was going much quicker than Lewis anyway, so if he had have given him the space then he would've been ahead with room to spare on track. I'm going on the principle that I've tried them on a mate's 997 and they're incredible, and that all the big manufacturers are now fitting them to all their cars, and that they're lasting roughly 70% longer during hard use than the PS2s which is simply astounding. The amount of feel you get on them is wonderful too. The AD08 is a good tyre, don't get me wrong, but it's not a patch on the PSS.

Exactly the question I was going to ask. Have you ever had any problems getting around in any car in the last 10 years in the winter? If the answer is no, then I wouldn't bother with winter tyres. If the answer is yes and often, then I wouldn't bother either as the Zed isn't going to make life any better. If the answer is yes but only a handful of times then you could consider it, but only you know if the cost is worth it. Living in Essex, there has only been maybe 2-3 days a year where the weather has been that bad that winter tyres would've made a massive difference, so I don't bother. The cost is just too much to be worth bothering about,

Both. I've had some via bank, some via independent. All times I read the small print and knew exactly what I was covered for and what I wasn't. Sometimes I took it, sometimes I didn't. You have to ask the DVLA, they're the only ones who can help you. You need to write to them, pay the £10 fee or whatever it is now, and give them a good reason as to why you need the info. I can tell you now though that they won't release the info for that, so you might as well save yourself the time and money.

Bearing in mind they have to warranty the car, so they're either giving themselves a fairly sensible margin in case anything goes wrong OR they've already spent that money to fix the bloody thing and now have to reclaim it back from the sale. Seems a reasonable thing to me.

The guy sorting your geo out will be able to sort this out for you. It's pointless us giving you any measurements as everyone likes their car to handle differently, so just tell the chap doing yours how you want the car to feel.
