  1. Why would he bother? Money is now irrelevant to him, he has more than enough and any team in the top 6 would be able to satisfy a basic package as long as he kept his own image rights. He wants titles, and there's only three teams capable of delivering that to him. He can't go to Ferrari because Alcocko won't let him, and Red Bull don't have a space next year. He will be with McLaren next year 100%, even if he only signs a 1 year deal with an option of a further year, depending on whether Vettel moves to Ferrari in 2014 as we all suspect he will. I have absolutely no doubt that Mercedes have been speaking to Lewis' management team and given them a package to offer to him, but then I'd be amazed if Lotus and Red Bull hadn't done exactly the same. You make the offers on the off-chance you can get a top driver, and if they say yes then you work out if you actually want them or not. It's common sense. Eddie Jordan is entertaining and still chatty with the big guns, but ultimately this is a complete non-story and a load of utter rubbish.
  2. *Looks at Stoke's position in league* *Looks at Spur's position in league* Stones, glass houses and all that...

    No sky for me

I paid a bit extra to be with Sky this year, almost 10% more I think, but I did that because I wanted my mods covered to their value. Admiral would only have given me standard parts back if I had an accident, and the risk wasn't worth the saving. Depends on whether you see insurance as a necessary evil or if you want it to give you protection/peace of mind I guess. The fact that some specialist insurers can be double a mainstream shouldn't come as any surprise, as it's no difference to when you Gocomparethemoneysupermeerkat and end up with some premiums in the £8K range. Some insurers want the business and will take the risk, some don't want will price themselves out of the risk. Truth is that people driving modified sports cars have some of the highest value claims in the event of an accident, so insurers need to protect themselves against that risk.
  5. In that case, I never want to be within 5 miles of yours
  6. Some fat-arsed munter. Seriously, I wouldn't touch her with yours.
  7. Armageddon is my favourite film, RIP Bear
  8. I have absolutely no idea, I don't connect it via BT and never did in the Zed when I had it either. I always mute my sat navs, and use the visual guide instead.
  9. JesusPhone + TT software = sorted for all occasions
  10. It's only a couple of hours to Thurrock, well worth a visit
  11. Spot on Lewis was on the white line. If you look at the overhead camera shot, Grosjean came flying across and didn't give Lewis anywhere near the required room. He was going much quicker than Lewis anyway, so if he had have given him the space then he would've been ahead with room to spare on track. I suspect that if only Lewis and Grosjean had collided and no car had gone airborne and almost taken Alcocko's head off, then he wouldn't have had the ban. It was such a dangerous and ridiculously reckless manoeuvre though they had to come down hard. Are Renault, sorry Lotus allowed to replace him as a driver for the next race? It's the driver being punished, not the team after all.

    Numberplate

Yes, we should all get the choice of which laws we want to follow.
  13. I suspect he was severely bollocked over that by Martin. Although he has lost his aunt this week, so maybe his head isn't where it should be and you can't really blame him for that.
  14. I'm going on the principle that I've tried them on a mate's 997 and they're incredible, and that all the big manufacturers are now fitting them to all their cars, and that they're lasting roughly 70% longer during hard use than the PS2s which is simply astounding. The amount of feel you get on them is wonderful too. The AD08 is a good tyre, don't get me wrong, but it's not a patch on the PSS.
  15. Agreed. You're a f*cking idiot.
  16. Not even close, PSS are the best tyres out there right now period.
  17. Yellow ones? Bought a pack a while back too, pretty good quality and you can treat them as disposable for that price
  18. Given a one race ban and €50K fine. Good.
  19. Grosjean is a massive bellend. So, so lucky not to have hit Alonso.
  20. Exactly the question I was going to ask. Have you ever had any problems getting around in any car in the last 10 years in the winter? If the answer is no, then I wouldn't bother with winter tyres. If the answer is yes and often, then I wouldn't bother either as the Zed isn't going to make life any better. If the answer is yes but only a handful of times then you could consider it, but only you know if the cost is worth it. Living in Essex, there has only been maybe 2-3 days a year where the weather has been that bad that winter tyres would've made a massive difference, so I don't bother. The cost is just too much to be worth bothering about,
  21. £5K of driver training will make you an incredible driver, and make more difference to your car than anything else.
  22. Hand your man card in at the door please on your way out.
  23. Both. I've had some via bank, some via independent. All times I read the small print and knew exactly what I was covered for and what I wasn't. Sometimes I took it, sometimes I didn't. I'm really not trying to sound all holier than thou or anything, I promise, but I cannot have any sympathy with people who sign things without reading it first. Sorry
