I have absolutely no doubt that Mercedes have been speaking to Lewis' management team and given them a package to offer to him, but then I'd be amazed if Lotus and Red Bull hadn't done exactly the same. You make the offers on the off-chance you can get a top driver, and if they say yes then you work out if you actually want them or not. It's common sense. Eddie Jordan is entertaining and still chatty with the big guns, but ultimately this is a complete non-story and a load of utter rubbish.

Spot on Lewis was on the white line. If you look at the overhead camera shot, Grosjean came flying across and didn't give Lewis anywhere near the required room. He was going much quicker than Lewis anyway, so if he had have given him the space then he would've been ahead with room to spare on track. I suspect that if only Lewis and Grosjean had collided and no car had gone airborne and almost taken Alcocko's head off, then he wouldn't have had the ban. I'm going on the principle that I've tried them on a mate's 997 and they're incredible, and that all the big manufacturers are now fitting them to all their cars, and that they're lasting roughly 70% longer during hard use than the PS2s which is simply astounding. The amount of feel you get on them is wonderful too. The AD08 is a good tyre, don't get me wrong, but it's not a patch on the PSS.

Exactly the question I was going to ask. Have you ever had any problems getting around in any car in the last 10 years in the winter? If the answer is no, then I wouldn't bother with winter tyres. If the answer is yes and often, then I wouldn't bother either as the Zed isn't going to make life any better. If the answer is yes but only a handful of times then you could consider it, but only you know if the cost is worth it. Living in Essex, there has only been maybe 2-3 days a year where the weather has been that bad that winter tyres would've made a massive difference, so I don't bother. The cost is just too much to be worth bothering about,

Both. I've had some via bank, some via independent. All times I read the small print and knew exactly what I was covered for and what I wasn't. Sometimes I took it, sometimes I didn't.
