  1. Only claim if you were genuinely mis-sold. All these idiots just claiming because they fancy some free money are p*ssing me right off. I've had PPI on all my loans, and I knew exactly what they were for and I had the choice whether to take it out or not. If I'd have been pressurised into taking the PPI then I wouldn't have had the loan.
  2. If it was purely for the drive, then the 182 would get my vote. Stunning little cars, so much fun to rag the backside off and that engine is wonderful BUT If you're going to be putting a kiddy in the back you're not going to be driving like a nutter anyway, so you might as well get the quicker Megane.
  3. They are utterly fabulous, get the matching handbrake one too. Why more people don't buy these I don't know, they're utterly lush.
  4. Ooh, actually I think your link is the correct one, that's ringing bells looking at that. That really is your only answer sadly, there's no easy way to sort a replacement head unit out in MOST Porsches sadly. Is it the PCM1 or 2 system you've got in your Cayenne?
  5. Your problem is the MOST system, and how it integrates with the Bose amp in the Cayenne. There are ways round it, but none of them are cheap as a mate of mine is doing a similar conversion in his 997.1 with the Bose setup. Basically you'll need a connecting box that can take all the inputs and make them talk to each other, IIRC it's in the region of about £300 and you'll need to import it from the US. This is the puppy I believe, probably works out around £300 when shipping + import taxes are taken into account.
  6. 14.7 is stoich, no need to run that rich under idle as there's no load on the engine.
  7. Definitely sounds like a massive air leak to me. Check all the hoses, gaskets etc. Don't be too concerned about those AFR readings, under light cruise and at idle those numbers are fine. It's under WOT and boost you want to be seeing 12s really.
  8. Another thread inquiring about OBDII readers? Fine... In short, no. None of the OBDII readers you've posted will be able to read anything on your car if you've already tried another tool. They're all the same really, and the flood damage you're describing could very well be terminal if all the electrics are goosed.
  9. Interesting fact: There are only 3-4 photographs of Armstrong on the moon. All the famous pictures we know about are of Aldrin, as it was Neil using the primary camera. Very sad, proper old-fashioned hero.
  10. I don't even bother with foam any more. It just adds another layer of faffing around to the washing process, with very little gain. Shame, as it's so much fun
  11. Because they look utter, utter chavtastic sh*t. If you want narrow lights, make them: Don't stick plastic tat on top of your existing lights. Pet hate, sorry. Get them if you like them though.
  12. Boxster if you have a slush fund Elise if you don't /thread
  13. To be honest, if you were clever enough then they'd never find out. Parents take out cash from their bank, and give it straight to you. As long as you don't put it all into your account in one go, or even better if it never touches a bank and you don't rush off and spend it on a Ferrari or anything daft, they'll never know. Whether you'd feel comfortable taking that risk is up to the individual.
  14. Nice one, would've missed that otherwise. I always find Yank reviews a tad odd to read as they always look for different things than us Brits, but MT are pretty fair in their comments. Terrifying to read about the LP700's brakes though! Good to see the BRZ do well, and I wonder where they've got their info about the 274bhp version coming soon though... Would've loved to see the Boxster in there as well as the 911, or even instead of. Why on earth Ferrari declined the use of a 458 though I've no idea, I can't imagine it not beating those cars there especially considering the results.
  15. Well, yes, they do. However the RS5 has a V8, and I very much doubt that anyone would buy an RS5 and then drop the V10 into it. I strongly suspect that the reporting bods have got their lines crossed somewhere. In fact, I'd bet a packet of Hob Nobs that the RS5 in question is standard under the bonnet, barring the limiter removal and maybe a remap.
  16. It's a crap piece of reporting, as it is everywhere in the media today and not just on Sky. The big thing here is that he was responsible for loads of burglaries in the area, and the police had been after him for ages, and finally he was sent down for 9 years for his crimes. The fact he was doing 180mph trying to get away is neither here nor there really. RS5 will happily do almost 190mph if you remove the limiter.
  17. Especially one fitted with a Lamborghini engine, very weak reporting
  18. Fantastic write up and pics matey, great to read even though I'm not a cyclist myself. Congrats on doing it, that's a great achievement.
  19. All cars have their flaws. I'd be more trusting of a VAG car than I would a Merc these days, although Mercs are definitely more reliable than they used to be.
  20. That's per corner for both tyres and brakes.
  21. UPDATE Came close to throwing up, so went and had a nap. Feel better now.
  22. Just started this tonight. Holy f*cking crap, I'm dying. Just doing the fit test is a killer. Numbers below: 113 32 60 28 6 6 12 31 F*cked.com
