Well, OEM generally means that they'll be aimed at being warranty-proof but without being spectactular, so better than some random Chinese guff sold for buttons but not as good as the top stuff we'd put on if trying to improve the car. In short, they'll do you just fine

Depends on exactly what pads they are. Your question is a bit like saying "Are Fords any good?" when that range includes the Ka and the GT Pagid do some very dull plain OEM stuff, and some excellent track pads. If it's ECP then they're probably just plain ol' regular ones, by which I mean they're solid quality but don't expect any performance benefits.

You won’t know the handling is bad until you’re sideways. Assuming the new tyre is 7mm new, then I’d be changing both then selling the other on eBay to recoup costs. Trust me, it’s really not worth the risk especially when we don’t even know if the tyre is the same. Pop it on a credit card and worry about it later, you really can’t be having odd tyres across an axle ever.

It's not just the profile size, it's also the added weight of the wheels. Extra mass there means more is transferred from the already skinny sidewalls into the suspension and in turn into the chassis. You'll also accelerate slower and increase braking distance. For some the looks are worth it (and I totally get that 19s look better than 18s). For some the knock on effects aren't worth it. Your call, but in answer to your question yes the ride will be noticeably harsher, but I can't say whether it'll be too much or not. As someone who has suffered with back issues previously (seriously herniated disc L5/S) I do understand where the question is coming from, and personally if it were me I wouldn't risk anything making my back worse. But then I've no idea how bad your condition is!

Maybe, but a lot of it comes down to price. You get people who refuse to ever spend decent money on decent rubber and who will claim that the FK453s are amazing and capable of handling their uber-Evo, but ultimately that's only because they're too tight to try something better. Then you get the opposite, the people who only ever buy brand names and refuse to accept that actually the Pirelli P Zero is a shockingly bad tyre, but because F1 use it then it must be amazing so it gets a high score. On some tyres sure, it's probably a reasonable presumption but ultimately I'd rather listen to five people who know what they're talking about than a million who have no idea. Same reason I use specialist advice for suspension rather than a dozen people saying "Oh just go to X as they've got a Hunter machine".

What the hell is a dually speed?! Please don't tell me you mean dual carriageway, as otherwise you could just say 70mph. Sounds to me like you really need some lessons in performance car driving. If the TCS is kicking in like you say it is, then you're driving way beyond the limits of your car.

I never read that site, it's just a popularity contest for people to shout that the tyre they bought is amazing, regardless of whether it's actually any good or not. Bit like the modern Top 40, just because a song is popular does not mean it's any good

The Bridgestone press release? That’s about as much as I could find too, and it really wasn’t very helpful. I suspect it’s a branding exercise, but I wouldn’t want to commit to that.

Tyre? Singular? Please make sure the one on the other one is only very slightly worn (like sub 1k miles), or you’ll need to change both otherwise you’ll have a dangerous car. Which you might have anyway, as I cannot seem to find too much info on the Ecopia designation. It may just be a new name but the exact same tyre, or it may be a completely different tread pattern and compound. If the pattern is not 100% identical, then DO NOT FIT IT unless you fit as a pair.

Interestingly the R8 starts at $165K, so yeah I reckon I'm pretty close to being on the money with that guess!

$60K according to the Chevvy website. But then a ZR1 is $121K, and the C8 would need to be significantly above that. I reckon a starting price of $160k would do it, so £115K there or thereabouts.
