  1. Stop rubbing dirt into your car, that’s how you get scratches!
  2. Either or, tbh it's not really relevant to a main dealer what indies charge as they're not in direct competition, and you'd expect to pay more for the value of the stamp and the nice sofas, free coffee & biscuits, pretty receptionist etc. Just how much more is a value only you can decide
  3. Bingo! Cheeky one as they're the same light cluster as the AE86
  4. One for the Jap fans amongst us...
  5. ^^^ That. However, don't forget you can haggle prices at a main dealer, they're no different to anywhere else. Might be worth it when you look at the potential value that could be lost to Mr Numpty who wants to buy your car but feels it's crap without a FNSH.
  6. Yup, sounds like it to me. If you don't use some kind of lubricant, then you're simply pushing grit into the paint. Using a QD and a microfibre really isn't much better either, certainly not a patch on a proper wash.
  7. Sorry if my earlier thoughts came across a bit negative Col, I don't think there's an answer that pleases everyone anyway. Although as long as you please me then I'm happy enough I'd never, ever use FB for anything technical, as it's simply crap at storing info. That said, for stuff that you really don't need to store info long term for (like meets) it's perfect. Also you're spot-on about noise filtering Stu!
  8. Or maybe ditch the regional meets altogether. If no-one is using them then just let FB et al take all the traffic on there, and use here for the national big meets.

    Car cover....

Just be aware that you need to make sure your car is spotless (i.e. freshly washed) after every use before you put the cover on, else you're going to add even more scratches than you will using a cover anyway. Tbh unless you're living next door to a building site or leaving the car for 3 months at a time, you're better off just waxing it and leaving it outside. So no, I have no idea what's a good cover as I would never use one
  10. Trouble is, where do you join the lines? For example being in Essex would mean I'd happily pop to Herts or Suffolk for a meet, so maybe you'd tag those together. However on a nice day or for the right meet I'd happily go to Sussex or Surrey or Norfolk, so you'd have to include those too. But then people in Norfolk might not travel as far as Sussex full stop, so it's pointless including those in a section together: Grouping only works for the individual, not en-masse. The only way to do it is to encourage people to subscriber to each area they're interested in, and just accept they're going to miss a few things. Can you even subscribe per sub-forum on here? I don't know. *EDIT* Yes you can, I just checked.
  11. I'll believe it when I see it. By which I mean I'll never see it. Put it this way, if the next GT-R goes further upmarket that'll push it into the £100K band. That means this high power version of the Z35 would need to fill the £60-80k segment, like the R35 did/does right now. Still interested? I'm not, not with an autobox and a V6.
  12. Same as Kyle then, so at least that's consistent.
  13. Nah, I'm totally ex-communicado on that front now after my rant a few years back, so I'm definitely just a regular member now
  14. Could be an F40, but it's a weird angle if so.
  15. Just needs settings changing then on the forum, your user group must be set to allow start but not reply. Any other REOs got the same issue?
  16. You mean you cannot post in Announcements at all, or you can't start a new thread?
  17. We don’t even know what tyres they’re are. If 453 then yeah they’re budget but okay, if 912 then they need binning as you’re starting from too low a baseline. JP is right though, take everything back to stock geo and pinpoint exactly what you don’t like. Ultimately you’re losing traction because you’re putting down too much power for the tyres to cope with, so either remove right foot or add more grip with better rubber.
  18. I hate change, but I think this is a very good idea. Well done to all for making a brave step forward by going back, IYSWIM. Genuinely, not being sarcastic.
  19. Or a Mini, everything has those headlights!
