Perhaps, but it's not like you can't do the exact same thing just flexing your ankle a bit less. Plus it's not like the throttle on the 350 is particularly snappy.
-
It's fun for three minutes, then you realise you lose precise modulation of the throttle so the car actually becomes harder to control on the corners. I had one for a bit, then binned it when I realised the illusion was doing more harm than good. I really don't recommend them any more.

I figured I’d let someone else mention tyres for a change

Braided lines are definitely a plus (and cheap too), then I would change the pads for something you know to be decent. If the discs are okay then leave them be: My current preference is to use reasonably cheap discs and spend the cash on the pads instead. Obvs if you have the money then get some awesome discs as well, but personally I feel you see more benefit from pads than discs pound for pound. In terms of pads, I'd go for the Performance Friction 01 pads on the front and their Z-rated pads on the back. I've had personal experience with these and have found nothing better on road and track, although please check they've not updated their part codes in the last few years! And I really wouldn't worry about putting the 'closed roads' thing on here, no-one's fooled for a minute Just put 'repeated high speed stops' or something equally vague but informative, as at least that way you're not leaving yourself open for prosecution as well as a telling off from the mods

If you want a fast car, follow the rules: First make it stop, then make it handle, then make it go. If you sort your brakes out then you can carry much more speed that you currently do, then do your suspension so you can corner quicker so waste less speed, then worry about power. The Zed has more than enough grunt as stock, you just need to maximise the weak points (brakes and suspension) to really make the most of it.

Oi I liked that wing Got a couple of ideas for the next car, but I’m in no hurry so we’ll see what turns up.
-
Now I know you’re trolling!

Again, you’re proving science, not sky fairy magic. There’s science behind why washing with clean water is good, or why blood is kinda important.
-
Why would you NOT want to go to Mars?! Interesting fact: Mars is the only planet we know of completely inhabited by robots.
-
Actually to put it another way... New discovery proves existing science wrong: ”Oh wow, congrats guys, that’s a brilliant breakthrough! We can all learn from this and move on!” New discovery proves religion wrong: ”Oh erm, well we didn’t actually mean that originally, what we actually meant was...”
-
But there’s no evidence for religion. At all. Absolutely nothing provable in the slightest. As @StevoD put it, it’s no more provable than Pokemon.
-
Did you even read ilogikals’s post? It’s not a good video. At all.
-
Also be aware that very few places stock NOS these days, and even fewer companies insure cars with it.
-
He didn’t. He’s talking nonsense, as there’s a ton of evidence regarding life on this planet from millennia ago. However, it’s easy to sit there with fingers in ears pretending that a man in the cloud invented everything because you’re too dim to actually comprehend the science involved. But that’s okay, if it makes him happy then that’s fine. Thankfully there’s millions of human beings who aren’t content to sit in the stone ages and actually want to advance. The thought that someone’s best guess two thousand years ago could actually turn out to be the complete truth is laughable, tbh.

No one ever said that a dog gives birth to a chicken That’s literally the most ridiculous thing you’ve said in this thread. Evolution says exactly what you’re agreeing with, that changes happen over many generations not suddenly. So on this, you’re actually in agreement with science.

Wheels are a great place to lose weight from, however if you have Rays on then probably not worth looking at anything else unless you've got serious cash to burn. From a standing start, the tyres will be the other big place to make gains from. The quicker you can transfer the power down the quicker you'll be moving, so pick a semi-slick to suit your budget and go from there. Aside from that, it's just going to be about weight as others have already said. Saving weight will be better than 5bhp extra from a filter, and cheaper too.
-
I wish! The CGT will have to wait for another few years methinks... Yeah, I did. It's okay though, at least I know exactly what seat I like now so I don't have to go and try another several hundred again!
-
So it's okay to believe something that you know to have been mis-interpreted by hundreds if not thousands of people? Let's assume you're right. What's the message?
-
Now sold. Although if the mods could leave this open just in case things go the way of the pear, that'd be great I am seriously going to miss this car. Honestly, if you even like cars one little bit you are simply going to have to own a V8 one day. You know the jump in awesomeness from a four pot to a V6? Imagine that but 10x as good. I could never ever get bored of that noise, that fighter jet-like ripping of the air as you accelerate in a tunnel.

Imagine trying it with a Flex

Japfest 2018 Silverstone Sunday 6th May
Ekona replied to andy james's topic in National Events & Shows
Deadline is now Tuesday 10th as per Japfest website, all other details are as per the first post in this thread -
I reckon that sounds more like weight transfer than anything now. Not helped by it being wet so the won’t grip either. @StevoD will probably tell me I’m wrong though, he knows this much better than me.

To me, that's the perfect example of hof NOT to do it. I mean, if you were super master pro extraordinaire with the delicate touch of a butterfly but with the power of Tyson to control the machine then I guess you could do it like that, but for every other person on the planet then just no. It's almost like he's talking about using the leading edge of the pad to gain maximum control (which is correct technique), but then just takes it one step further and borks the whole process.
